Hi all,
Im experimenting with Amazon EC2 Servers.
I was wondering if there is anyone out there who wants to try hosting their PW or a module etc on a cloud based server.
Linux and Windows available.
Im going to be trialing this for a month to see how it works, and then review after that point.
RDP Access will be given, the server will be essentially yours for the next month etc.
Private me for more info.
Need a tester for my EC2 Servers

Note - I am in the process of creating a Windows Server image/instance that has a ready to go nwn server - complete with access to a central repository of community haks - eg: CEP2.4 etc
(Up to 50GB of shared hak content)
I have no experience with Linux, but I would appreciate anyone willing to setup a Linux box for me to run NWN etc.
If anyone is interested in these servers, let me know.
Specs are 2ghz Dual Core processor, 600mb Ram, Hosted in Amazon Data Centers - 7mb Download Speed observed while downloading CEP2.4.

Baaleos, you ever hear of NWNIAB (Neverwinter In A Box)? If you right-click and save as on that 7z file, it's still available.
I want to say I heard Acaos also made EC2 images. You might PM or otherwise contact FunkySwerve and either he might know or be able to ask Acaos for you. I heard somewhere that Acaos was considering distributing the EC2 images to the community at some point, but this is all quite a bit ago.

If anyone is interested in this still.
I've got a price plan up for anyone who wants to lease a server from me.
http://hosting.azmod...products_id=180
The cheapest plan there, is about $12.50 per month + Usage Costs.
On Usage Costs: This will include $0.10 per 1 million Disc I/O operations. The people demo'ing this for me, who have had their server up online for 82 hours so far, have only accrued 8 cents of I/O Charges.
It makes sense financially to charge based on usage, since there is no logical reason to pay a flat rate for a server that no one is currently playing.
So if your sever is not getting any players, then that time is charged at a cheaper rate, than when it is really busy.
