So, today I knocked out the one challenge that I thought I would never, ever get done. Albeit with the Sexbot/lolreegar with incendiary and cyclonic IV's. I'd done the Silver solos a few months earlier, but was really apprehensive about doing Gold, mainly because I knew if I screwed up I'd just be wasting my own time. Played it safe, did both solos on Giant/Geth and stuck around the control room area and let everything walk up to me.. Didn't get the Target objectives sadly on either one, but the objects and hacks were conveniently well-placed so I didn't have to worry about taking too much heat. Ended each solo with no consumables left, one took about 55 minutes and the other a little over an hour.

I know nobody will probably care, and I'll probably catch some crap for doing them with the Sexbot and lolreegar, but I'm just glad I don't have to bother with 'em anymore.


TL:DR? Fantasm attempted solos, Fantasm completed solos, Fantasm happy

I agree, if you don't have the skill to speed-run them, solos are quite boring.

I dont enjoy solo's either and after 8 failed plat attempts 3 on wave 10. I conceded I just didn't' have the patience for it. The games meant to be played as a team anyway congrats on being done with the banner.

I'm on the same page as you Fantasm, got my golds done, giant, geth, kroguard and I never have to do them again. Don't like soloing at all.

I was pretty lucky with my solos. Got them both done on my first attempts (used a vorcha). But I had absolutely no fun doing either one and have zero desire to do the platinum solo.

The patience you need and the degree of kiting is just monotonous.

I'm pretty sure.. At least not anytime soon that is. I struggle with Plat on any kit that isn't the AIU, and I don't like relying too heavily on one character. Might attempt Plat once I get more experience with it that doesn't consist of me leeching off my friends

Don't see myself getting it anytime soon, mainly because grinding waves on characters I don't really enjoy is kind of a put-off.

Tis funny, cuz I used to be the slowest soloer ever and I did enjoy it back then, but now that I've done speedruns I simply can't stand a long solo at all, drives me nuts.

Nope. 2 Gold solos or 1 Plat.

Nope, just the gold, silver, and bronze.

Nope, can be done with two Gold solos, then the remaining Silver and Bronze ones.

your batarian soldier actually inspired me to do a solo speedrun.

I know that any "fastest" xbox solo speedrun is BS, so i might as well take a character that isn't know for their quick speed on xbox, make him an odd ball (no devestator mode/venom) and do something similar.
