Nope. 2 Gold solos or 1 Plat.

Woah, the only reason I haven't been working on these was the Plat solo I thought I had to do.  I can probably cheese my way through Gold solos now.  I need a couple more Silver solos too.

And congrats, so many things can go wrong when soloing even with that crutch.

Had 5 waves survived as a No-Marksmen Turian Soldier on Firebase Glacier v. Cerberus.

Think i was about 12 minutes in, on wave 7.

I don't know what happened, but i went from equipment being 6/6/6/5 (ops packs) to 1 med-gel and 1-ops pack in about 1 minute flat.

just bled out after that....

Giant. Camp LZ.

Pick Hazard if you use a Grenade class.

For me, I did all of my solos on Giant. Big map, easy to lead enemies away from objectives like devices, also easier to pick off enemies that get seperated. Like I said though, I mainly stayed in the control room and let everything walk over to me, hence the long completion times. 

As to whether or not an "average" player could do it, i'd say sure. I don't consider myself anything above average, and all it really takes to do it the way I did, is patience. Haven't tried it with any soliders (and as of now, I have no plans to) you'd need to look for a thread where someone has, and ask them.

I'm guessing the build I use of yours was from back then. It's the Batarian Sentinel build with the Graal Spike Thrower and the Acolyte. It's a fun build and I've even taken it on Platinum a few times. Never solo'd with it before.

Congrats, and don't feel bad about using the AIU or reegar. I got my two solo golds with a Kroguard on Geth/white. Once with a pirranha and once with reegar. No shame in that. Gold solos are hard! I prefer white as it's relativly open with lots of stuff to help run circles around the enemy. Also for those of you using the reegar for your Gold solos don't forget the warp ammo. Makes your reegar crazy. Now just gotta finish those stupid maps and promotions.

Haha, 83 minute platinum solo ftw! Seriously, I can't believe now I ever had the patience for that. 

But yeah, I love the Graal on that guy, it's awesomesauce and I still use it from time to time.

No, Zjarcal actually copied the build from and added the scurbcolyte. He is better with the hurricane/BPP instead. Anything Zjarcal does comes from me.

Congrats OP! I did mine on Giant. Big map good for kiting, lot's of good cover, and escape routes, some of which the bosses can't follow you through (ladders). Haven't done any since. Should give platinum solo a whirl if I feel VERY bored.

Don't even think about it. You will do those solos with the Claymore GI. We have shown you the light of the lord, now prove your worth!

Your 1st step is to try it out on bronze on a map that you like and the character you like best.  Just play a lot more conservative than you normally would.
