I am happy to announce the release of Baldur's Gate: Reloaded, a fan-made tribute to and complete remake of the the original Baldur's Gate (1998) developed by Bioware and published by Interplay.

You can view the launch trailer here:

You can download the mod here: http://neverwinter.n...com/mods/794//?

Congrats, and BTW, wouldn't this be the best time to launch some sort of NWN2 promotion campaign? Maybe someone with good FRAPS skillz putting together a let's play of the reincarnated BG, or at least folks chatting up the game on their other RPG message boards?

Absolutely! I have the launch trailer (on YouTube--see above) and a screenshots "package" that I can upload for people to give out if they'd like. I'd love for people to talk about this to RPG sites, podcasts, or major gaming sites! Hopefully we can get some people back into the NWN2 community!

You should make a post on the BG section of these forums, if you haven't already.

woofs happily (...woof...woof...). Congratulations! I don't need to tell you what a service you have done to the NWN2 community and fans of cRPGs in general. When do the fireworks start?

Hey, guys,

It looks like the Nexus renamed the files and the archives are no longer setup properly as a result. I'm looking into a resolution for this ASAP and will update once I know more.

What a journey... also, I'm starting to think the Nexus just hates me :(

All files have the mod's ID number and file version number added to the end.

I can think of one way that the file naming system could be used to create the sequence you want. Since the number at the end of the file is the version number you set on the file, give them all the same name, but make part 2 "version 2", and part 3 "version 3", and so on. That would result in file names that extracting programs will recognise as being part of a sequence. Use the file description to state that it's part 1 of 6, part 2 of 6, etc.

I've uploaded brand new installation files, so the issue should no longer occur. Thanks for your patience, all!

Just in case you check this forum before you check the Nexus' "Posts" page, the names of the new files may have an unintended addition.

On the Nexus file page, for example, the new file "BGR - Part 1 of 6" seems to be named "Do Not Download - Part 1-794-1-0.rar" when actually downloaded.

To be more precise: here.

I'd post it myself, but I think it should be done by the developers.

Hey, look at that, more news coverage, even international:

Gamestar.de

PCGames.de

Enjoy the fame, it's well deserved... and I'm still waiting for the mail to bring my new graphics card so I can finally play it. Grrr. <_<
