Kill the Reapers, learn their genetic-re-writing potential (they did re-write the protheans genetically to get the collectors) and then use that knowledge to write your own alien DNA that can be planted in the womb of whoever is going to give birth. Tada.

As a Talimancer, I have nothing against adoption, but frankly if there are so many ways you can use the story's technicalities to explain why it is possible, it's worth at least looking into.

The problem is, the closest the reapers came to a levo/dextro hybrid are the Brutes.  Reaper tech does not seem to allow for the procreation of two radicaly different species.  All it does is allow for a frankesteinish transfusion of body parts with the heavy assistance of technology.  Turians and Krogan parts are not melded, rather mixed and matched to create the most efficient killing machine.  A child of Shepard and Tali using this method would be a human body and arms with a Quarian head and legs, all of which must have been grown in vats as clone tissue of Shep and Tali.

As for the collectors, they were much simpler than creating a hybrid.  All the reapers had to do was remove stuff that was already there such as certain chromosomes, and even then the product was not self sufficient, hence all the tech.

As much as some would like this universe to be like Star Trek where this kind of procreation is possible, in the Mass Effect Universe, the technology to achieve hybrids is far beyond the capacity of the species we know of.  Adoption, cloning, or the use of artificial insemination is the only way Shepard and any non-human/asari will have a child, and even then, the child will only have at most the DNA of one of its parents.

Why would someone even WANT to mate with a tree?

And WHO said placing human DNA into a Quarian?  Not me.  *I* said Altering QUARIAN DNA, then implanting.  Henry Lawson had HIS DNA altered, placed in a tank, and so produced Miranda, and later, Oriana.
Okeer distilled several krogan lines into one being that named himself "Grunt".

All the technology is already there.  All that would really be needed is for Shepard's genetics to be read, and one of Tali's eggs altered, then re-implanted.  Pure-blood Quarian baby as much as Tali herself is pure-blooded.  Procedure might be as expensive as adopting three children and raising them to maturity, however.

No space wizardy at ALL.

A designer baby is no problem in the MEU.  As long as you are not making the assumption that the baby will in any way be part Shepard genetically.  It is totally within the bounds of ME tech to mimic some of Shepard's traits such as eye and hair color, facial structure, etc. in an egg of Tali's.  That level of genetic engineering has been shown through Miranda and is possibly something we will see in real life within our lifetimes.

But what about hybrid babies, I am sure that is pos... okay, sorry, couldn't even get through that with a straight face :D

Anyhow my Shepard and Tali will likely just adopt.

Indeed, Jona needs new parents.

My "head-canon" Shepard could convince Kasumi to let Keiji go and point out how Jacob is no good. Maybe marriage and kids might cure her kleptomania.

I doubt DEATH could cure Kasumi's kleptomania. She would just become a ghost-thief.

And steal whatever the ghostbusters showed up in to bust her.

1. The Reapers also used cybernetics in the Collectors. Unless you want a cyborg baby, that example isn't very good at all.

2. DNA "writing" (I hate that term) is not even remotely this simple. Nevermind that you would still be taking human DNA and implanting it into a quarian womb. The result (if one were to happen at all) would be sterile, and likely not survive after birth.

As a Talimancer, I have nothing against adoption, but frankly if there are so many ways you can use the story's technicalities to explain why it is possible, it's worth at least looking into.

Except it isn't possible. When was the last time you heard of a giraffe mating with a whale? Or a human mating with a tree?

EDIT: @Ultimate Pheer:  I typically sign my posts with :wizard: for much the same reason that Chris Priestly uses

No reason to get so upset.

^This is what I meant as well. Surely not as simple as many claim, but certainly possible if you have a crap-load of credits...

They ARE blue. Considering my femshep lived and had her blue kids with Liara.

Also I remember a pic somewhere that someone drew of an Asari saying that her "dad", if you have to ask why dad is in quotes then you haven't been paying as much attention as you thought, was Shepard and her mom was the shadow broker. Anyone know where I can find it again?

Siring a son with either Jack, Ashley, or Kasumi is the best way for me.

If you think about it, Liara "embraced eternity" with Shepard just prior to commencement of the final battle for Earth.  As that is the process by which Asari mothers modify the second copy of their genes to reproduce, I suspect that ME4 could possibly center around Shepard and Liara's daughter. Not to mention the fact that EA firmly pushes towards you towards a Shepard/Liara relationship throughout the entire trilogy...

That would suck balls.

If they really wanted a "canon", they might as well just make typical action games ---- and devote all of their cash and resources to high quality railroaded stories. No different than Resident Evil or Halo. Instead of wasting money and time developing all of these other characters and choices. Millions of dollars down the drain... for what?

I wouldn't complain if they actually did it well... but if they're trying to have a canon, then they're going about it in the most deceptive and half assed way. And even burning their own cash in the process.

No

That scene can be avoided either by refusing the gift, walking by her or not talking with her at alll in the game at which point she will not offer the gift if the player decides to talk with her.

I refuse the gift every time..except the first.. because I didn't know. She's invasive as usual. It's only appropriate for a romance.

Yeah, not gonna happen, playing an Asari only protagonist whose mother is Liara is going to create as big of a backlash as the Mass Effect 3 ending.

.............

For my Shepard.

They'd be sadistic brats who constantly get into fights and eventually become Pro-Human militants operating on an Asari owned colony and wagging war against the tentacle-heads .  :bandit:

Vladislav Shepard would be proud.

I'd play it, only if the pureblood made the character Ardat Yakshi. And then I slowly turn their race upside down by forming a death cult around myself. I could be the Jim Jones of the Asari.
