Why do ppl lock their manifest? I mean do you rly care if someone types in their name in the computer.

What are your thoughts on this, and if you keep yours hidden, why do you do it?

so they cant check how many credits you have for the n7 leaderboards
or your builds etc....
i always have an open friend list .....
so others can benefit from it so i guess i am just the contrary

I bought my manifest, and it came under a lot of scrutiny, so i could see people doing that locking theirs.

Hackers and cheaters too probably would lock theirs.

And then there are people who don't understand the internet, and think people can find out all of your personal information and take over your brain just by having a computer inside of your home, like my parents did when i lived there.

I remember having an argument with a certain someone who randomly pulled stats from someone's HQ and made a few idiotic assumptions about them.

Locked mine after that. I highly doubt anyone cares about my HQ either way regardless though.

I wish I knew as well op, if some one wants to see how much level IV cryo ammo I have who cares, I know I don't, and if they want to see my build who cares, if my build could make a bad player slightly better then that's a good thing.

The only two reasons I could see are the all 6s builds or hacked credits.

But I know the ppl that I look at don't rly do that. I like to keep track on my leaderboard rivals and half of them are locked.

I don't understand.

If they are ranking up for the leaderboards then that would be the only reason I could see why someone would lock their manifest so no one knows how many credits they have for leveling up etc.

Besides that....no clue.

You can't have a private main profile and a public manifest, the retarded system links the two together, so if one's private, the other will be mandatory private (or vice versa). So yeah, that's one reason you see many private manifests.

Of course, some do it to hide cheats.

And if anyone here seriously needs to wonder why someone would want to keep a main private profile, for f**s sake, get a clue.

Some people do just like privacy. It's a character trait that can lend itself to such extremes as to hide even something that has no clear or accessible personal link to your life from the public, because you want all aspects of yourself hidden.

I think it's called bltch nlgga syndrome or something like that.
