yea they are nice xD I was in a match where the leader kicked another guy for some reason (no equipment?, im girl?)
and readied up after I put my [x] on the pug.. (don't judge me!Image IPB) we started as a duo, which I got "waiting for other players" on white.. so I had to quit and try to search the game again. I got back in the same match with two more pugs.Image IPB

perhaps when your done with your promotions and two gold solos and get your BoTB, ill be close to getting my BoTBImage IPB

I just need Map mastery, N7 mastery, Bloodpack, Machine, resurgence and rebellion. Image IPB

I can see maybe it's a privacy thing.

Or sometimes people will open up someone's HQ and be like "you only have completed lone wolf once? L2P GB2 Bronze DIAF scrub". People make value judgments about others based on a collection of data about a video game.

Or maybe they just have 100 million credits and 15 games played.

If it's really to avoid scrutiny because you think people will make fun of you for only doing a challenge once, or something like that, then you must have already been on BSN.

And if you were already on BSN, you must have learned the ****lockers that do that kind of thing are just that, and they don't really matter, so you should ignore them, and not worry about it.

So, probably cheaters. lol.

Edit- Or, a private main profile linked to your N7 profile.

Some (a limited few, I think) may cheat.

Some may get unwanted attention in their main profile.

Some may simply leave the default and never change it.

I don't cheat, I don't think too many males get "unwanted attention" and I changed the default because I could.

I didn't put anything particularly interesting in my main profile, so really, for me, it doesn't matter.

If they are ranking up for the leaderboards then that would be the only reason I could see why someone would lock their manifest so no one knows how many credits they have for leveling up etc.

Besides that....no clue.

Shadrach has been boosting like crazy lately and it bothers me that I don't know how much money he has left lol.

I got to play with him today but from what I can tell and what he said he's not interested in getting the no 1 spot again. He's dissillusioned with all the missile glitching etc from the past and doesnt want to grind hours upon hours to then have someone glitch to the top. Remember Shadow Enrique? Geez. That guy was a straight up glitcher like there was no tomorrow. Glad they banned him.

Because they're cheating.

There's no legitimate reason to hide your manifest. It's that simple.

Sure there is.

I hide mine because I don't want people to see I played the TGI and AIU for over 400 waves. :|

Pretty much this.
I don't care if people see my manifest and I don't know why you would make it private if there's nothing to hide.
I people want to gawk at my awesome collection of Explosive Rounds, be my guest.
Also if someone wants to check out my builds, why not? It's not like there are endless varieties of speccing out a character and if you don't know the idea behind the build (you can't even see what weapons that person is using on that character), it doesn't really matter anyway because it won't help anyone who doesn't know how to play a certain class play said class more efficiently.

Not sure if srs.

There is no legitimate reason for you to care if my manifest is public or private.  It's that simple.

The idea that everything on the internet should be public is juvenile and foolish.  It's saying, "The only reason you lock your house door is because you are hiding illegal goods.  It's that simple."  Yeah, it's that simple if you are a simpleton.

You can't have a private main profile and a public manifest, the retarded system links the two together, so if one's private, the other will be mandatory private (or vice versa). So yeah, that's one reason you see many private manifests.

Of course, some do it to hide cheats.

And if anyone here seriously needs to wonder why someone would want to keep a main private profile, for f**s sake, get a clue.

Idiot.

after I got my hacked account back, it defaulted to private again.

and I don't care enough of the opinions of others to make it public, worry about your own manifest.

There's no legitimate reason that my manifest needs to be public either, but I digress.

I can see both sides of the coin. Why hide it if everything is legit? Additionally, why does anyone care enough to check other people's profiles?

Funny. I got into his chat room today to see if I can instigate him into competiting for the rank again but he doesnt care. He's trying to get his challenges done to get his Best of the Best banner and he's moving on to another game as before. Rank competition on this game is dead I guess.

I have nothing to hide with my manifest. I bought a bit of it but only a small percentage. The rest has been through playing regularly. I could careless if someone looks at my stuff and scrutinizes it for reasons unknown. I know how I play and that's that. Only reason off the top of my head that I can think of that someone would lock their manifest is if they're cheating.

I had a pug start screaming at me because I had just wiped the floor with him, he looked me up and saw I only had like 30 hours played. Got called an aimbotter, increased my damage and given myself god mode and ****. When I told him I have no ****ing clue how to do all that **** and he clearly sucks, he said he would call EA and have my origin account banned.

It's tools like him which made me privatise my manifest.

Based on in-game harassment, I can see people wanting to keep it private. I would consider locking mine for non-MP reasons, like if my anti-gaming family was going to gripe at me based on the many hours I've spent in-game, but I can't imagine anyone cares enough to track mine down. Mine's still open to the very limited section of the public who'd want to see it.

I do wish my Steam stats were private. I get in crap from my family if they notice I've spent a lot of time gaming for the past week, or from other people when I play without them.
