Hi there fellow gamers,
Been playing NWN and NWN2 for years now, but recently came up with a build that I wanted to make but didn't know if it would work out well and couldn't find much helpful info on the internet..so here goes!
I am mad about monks! love'em! either play them or fighter/swash bucklers or rangers. But monks are definitely my number 1 favorite!
So was thinking of making a monk who would use two clubs instead of dual wielding kamas or going unarmed. The thing is..is this a viable build? ( want to throw in1 level of SD, 12 levels of fighter and about 5 levels of duelist) Will it do solid damage and even more important: will flurry stack with these weapons?!

Flurry won't work with them so it's not good. You're also looking at an additional -2 penalty on attacks for BOTH hands because your off-hand weapon will be larger than small.
You can fix the -2 AB by using the oversized two weapon fighting feat from Kaedrin's pack, but if you insist on using this kinda build despite the other problems, I'd suggest replacing clubs with maces (which are identical weapons for dual wielding purposes) and saving yourself a feat, but even then you're left with bigger issue of flurry not working.

I wonder if two-weapon club fighting without 'Flurry of Blows' would be any better than using a staff *with* 'Flurry of Blows'? Especially given that the staff will give you 1.5x your strength bonus in additional damage.

Clearly not. Dual clubs are hardly better than anything, except for dual big weapons, I suppose.
As to the original question, Manageri already explained some of the issues. I'd like to add that clubs are not finesseable, so you would have to be STR based, which prevents you from getting all of the TWF feats unless you're a ranger.
So, will it be a good build? No, and it could probably be labeled as a 'gimp'. It makes no sense from a mechanics perspective. Now, viable? Well, it depends on where you're going to play it. If it's for the OC, pretty much anything is viable there...
