Didn't know where else to put this, and pretty much all DA discussion happens here now whether its Inquisition related or not.

Page 12: The timeline states that the Old Gods whispered to humanity from the Black City in -2800 Ancient. At this time, the legendary city would still be known as “The Golden City,” as it was not yet sullied by the presence of men
Figured that was a typo. Good.

Whether it was sullied by the presence of men is debatable as well.
According to Corypheus, it was black when he and the Magisters got there, meaning the chant is wrong.

But the speculation from that quote sprung to that the Chantry invented that the Black City was golden at one point as propaganda, which would be silly. Whether it was on the inside is not relevant to my concern.

Ahha, The Calling did in fact happen in the same year Alistair was born. Good to know!
Yeah, I'm glad that stupid argument is done with. It was obviously a typo all along but people will cling to their silly denial at all costs it seems.
Of course, this won't change any of their minds. But at least they have less... fuel?

Second, I'm surprised they didn't notice that Ages only last for 99 years if we believe the calendar on p. 21, since there's no year 0 or year 100. I know, no big deal, but it's been bugging me a lot.

How silly of them to have multiple people all fact-check the book and not a single one managed to see those glaring errors.
BW is in desperate need of a dedicated person (or small team of people) to go over lore with a fine-toothed comb and get all the dates, names, and details pinned down and correct.

Hehe. I think someone accidentally wrote the truth instead of what was believed at the time or what the Chantry says. IMO the city was always black, as suggested by Corypheus' statement.Herr Uhl wrote...

It's a shame, I really liked the idea of a third Theirin (mostly because I love the alliteration

Mistakes will always creep through in any published work, no matter how many people you have checking over it.
I know that all too well.
