I started new game, not new game + so I don't get the bow.
And no, I did not mean "hard".
The runner was looking the complete opposite way and no mater what I do, he manages to see me.
Can runners see the flashlight?

Of course, I always turn it off around any of them, just to be safe.

That early encounter (when you pick up the revolver) was a pain on the survivor setting, because I kept alerting the stupid runners.

I think clickers and bloaters are the only infected who can't see the flashlight...maybe I'm wrong?

None of the infected can see your flashlight as far as I'm aware.

But the game is just so damn dark. I really can not see without the flashlight in the darker places.

Yeah I got prety bored seconds after starting it, still don't understand what the faction is about.
I died twice and then decided to block someone in some shed just for the hell of it then quit.

I could have sworn someone in-game said something about it, but maybe I had a dream about it.Druss99 wrote...

You never know with me; I seem to keep playing whatever I'm playing IRL in my dreams. Often. I had dreams about State of Decay every night while I was playing it. One night, Tyrion Lannister was in the dream, and got killed by a zombie horde, so I quit the game and reloaded (in my dream, no less), so he'd still be alive...it was right around the GoT season finale. Weird, huh? I still haven't opened Dead Island: Riptide for that reason. Hehe.
Seems like it would be easy enough to test, anyway...the flashlight thing, that is.

True, although using your hearing really helps to illuminate the area. I got to the point where I could go through entire areas using that, while stealth killing. It's probably also why I missed so many artifacts.Naughty Bear wrote...

I only watched it. I may be a BAD person - I CHEERED for many of the kills. Each and every one of the sommablintzens deserved it.TheClonesLegacy wrote...

On survivor, there is no hearing. There isn't the button prompts to grab someone who press triangle to shiv them or square to strangle them either.

But they did mention it in game at one point that runners can't see your torch. I always had it on during encounters with infected and the only ones I couldn't sneak up on were bloaters, I'm not sure you can sneak up on those at all.

I don't think you can sneak up on bloaters, and they seem to sense you when you're still a distance away. When I was in the college, I tried to lay a bomb near one's feet, and was a fair distance away from him, and he woke up. That was death number...I dunno, 37? lol
