15-20 hours. It felt about twice as long as an Uncharted game. If you're meticulous and search around the buildings for supplies then it'll last a little longer.Chewin3 wrote...
Impressive. Well I think I'll give it a go. I hardly think it will be a waste of money, after all.

And since people are comparing play times it took me just under 19 hours. I was pretty thorough except in a few hectic situations where I really just wanted to get the hell out of there.

That's funny - I thought nothing could beat Uncharted 2 in your opinion -- Anyway, yes the game is among the best games Naughty Dog has developed.IntelligentME3Fanboy wrote...

Yeah, that was my concern also. An infected person is no longer rational, so how long can they survive without the ability to forage for food and water? (Or find shelter in the winter?)Jaison1986 wrote...
I just got the game today, it's torturing to wait till night just to be able to play it. But I'm curious about something, I read in the wiki page that the infected host eventually dies after the fungus spreads too much into their body, and yet after 20 years later there is still a lot of infected around. You would think that after all this time the zombies would be all dead with them unable to enter walled cities.
I guess we have to presume the fungus itself maintains them by absorbing moisture from the air and... photosynthesis?
Or I suppose I could just "tell myself it's a T/V/ /s/h/o/w/game, I should really just relax".

Based on what, exactly?Sounds pretty mediocre
As far as my own take, it's a well made mix of the Mechanics/Atmosphere/Set Pieces from Uncharted with a less cliched stylization of storytelling and writing. I appreciated the use of combining household products into more useful items like smoke bombs, medical wraps, or adding sharp, bludgeoning objects onto already deadly weapons. It's not necessarily in my top 10, but it's worth the ride without a doubt.

That's the thing, its basically impossible to truly put yourself in Joel's position. Personally I don't know what I would have done, probably the same thing.
When he was ((((SPOILERS:))))
in that stand-off with Marlene I was like "Oh ****, what are you gonna do... you selfish bastard." 8(
Afterwards I rewatched the starting cutscenes again and you get a feel of why Joel did what he did.
Save the world? Ellie's my world now.

The Fireflies really ****ed that whole situation up, they really should have given them a chance to talk about it and let them say there goodbye's if necessary. Even if Joel wasn't suffering from severe post traumatic stress, the way that they handled it basically guaranteed that he would go berserk regardless.
HAHA True. Marlene totally underestimated their bond. :\\

Or don't tell him anything in the first place. They could have finished the surgery before Joel knew anything, if Marlene wouldn't have told him their plan. The "Kill him for the lulz!" scheme was just the dickish icing on the cake.
And... I mean... really? Kill him? The dude that walked through the country side like a boss and survived what killed whole firefly squads? Sure, go ahead. I'm sure that will work out just fine.
In the end I even killed the two defensless nurses without really thinking about it. Really shows how games that let me protect little girls influence me. NOBODY WILL HARM ELLIE OR CLEMENTINE!

Marlene made a bad choice... make that, made a poor tactical decision, based on emotion. She felt so badly about condemning Ellie to death that she wanted Joel alive in hopes he would agree with her and that that would absolve her of her guilt.TobiTobsen wrote...

IMO, the Fireflies made a HORRIBLE decision in the beginning. They COULD have contacted the government and let them know they had found an immune person and let THEM find the cure. The government has more resources and security than they do. It was more important to them to risk Ellie being lost in a cross-country trip than to give someone else control over the cure. If they were REALLY intent on saving humanity that wouldn't have been an issue. (Of course, if they had we wouldn't have a game, but still...)
