I agree, there are no perfect games. Simple as that. But with the broken rating system that we have, where games from major publishers/developers get grades between 9 and 10, we really can't be surprised anymore. What the hell does 9.7 mean, anyway ? Or 9.8 ?

I got burnt a little on Bioshock:Infinite. The most over-hyped game I've ever played - it's a 9 for me, whatever that means. Good game, but I just don't get some of the praise it gets - it's no Citizen Kane for gaming, Jesus. I will play The Last of Us - and I'm calling it now. The ending is probably sad, maybe you have to kill Ellie, maybe she has to kill you and the sad, guitar music plays in the background.

We'll see...

LOL

That's how I feel. A 9.7 is basically a 10. An 8.3 is still an 8. Those decimals just give some sort of illusion and distort everything. It's either an 8 or not... not an 8.3 or 8.7

Folks, maybe you lot should wait for user reviews and actual gameplay videos that lasts longer than 10 seconds. You know, so you don't burn your cash away on another big budget AAA game that only has 8 hours of play in it and requires all sorts of dumb stuff before you even get to play the game.

I'm definitely getting this; looks like it could be a potential GOTY contender.

I really really really really wish I had a PS3 right now.

Nah, but you're not the first to think so.

You're thinking of Beyond: Two Souls, another PS3 exclusive that comes out in a couple months. That's the one with Ellen Page.

Wow, IGN gave it a 10, they don't give those out usually, trollface.

Looks excellent though.

I'll probably buy it, but I read it has a 6 hour run time. It's getting harder and harder to get behind games like that (if true, that is).

Is anyone more excited for Beyond: Two Souls than The Last of Us? It seems like those are the two biggest PS3 exclusives this year and I find Beyond more appealing.

TLOU looks okay, but I'm certainly not getting the hype besides having been developed by Naughty Dog. I have it pre-ordered but might just wait until it goes on sale. Multiplayer doesn't interest me and wouldn't justify the 60 dollars.

I heard it was 15, every player is different, remember that, also - quality is what matters to me, personally.

I'm excited for both, more so Beyond, since I loved Heavy Rain, but both look excellent and Ellen Page is da best, tbh.

The obvious question now, is it a movie or a game?

The reviews I've been reading, from reviewers who aren't particularly fond of Uncharted, has expressed how Last of Us has managed to avoid Michael Baying it at the expense of player agency. I take this as a good sign.

I'm so hyped for this game, it seems a truly remarkable experience...never been interested in any games from Naughty Dog since The Last of Us was announced at the 2011 VGAs.

PS3 was apparently supposed to equal "no games".

Now they have an exclusive that is racking up perfect scores leaving xbox and pc in the dust
