Honestly, I'm looking at the overhype here. I care not what anybody says or writes about a game.

Just look what happened with ME3.

I'm waiting for the reviews that count. The gamers.

Wait, I don't even have a PS3, why am I even interested. I'm actually not.

PS3, the console destined for the no games trope...

What.

PS3 was apparently supposed to equal "no games".

Now they have an exclusive that is racking up perfect scores leaving xbox and pc in the dust

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

They've had the God of War series, Journey, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, etc.

For the moment, Metacritic of 96 makes it the second highest rated Metacritic game of all time.

PS3 consoles are still flying off shelves last I literally checked, 360's sold around 130,000 last month I believe. There's still something to be said for large game libraries I guess. I'd buy another PS3 in a few years if mine takes a dump.

There's not one negative journal review either.

Looking forward to user reviews, especially toward multiplayer. I honestly dont get why the hate towards multi in the game, every review I've read said it's just as enjoyable as single player.

Naughty God did it again.

I cannot wait to see what they are working on for PS4, this E3 will be awesome.

Reviewers are saying it's a 15-18 hour ride.

It'll probably be fun. But because of all the set piece moments it may not have much replay value.

By the way, why this obsession with game length? You know, you get to replay shorter fun games more often.

It's not as much fun to replay games that rely on set piece moments for the thrill....The magic is usually gone before the 2nd playthrough.

I disagree, but I guess it depends on when you decide to replay a game.  Usually I give it a few months.  I personally prefer quality in the game, regardless of the length, if it was close to 8 hours, but I had an amazing ride, I wouldn't complain.  I would want more, but sometimes too much isn't a good thing and I won't know till I play this anyway, since I do have it preordered.

Here you have a roundup of older consoles games - PS1, Gamecube, Dreamcast, hell even PS2. Funny... it's called LEGACY. Plenty of 98,97,96 and so on. And unfortunately many of these games are not even remembered anymore, because overwhelming majority didn't have a chance to play them.

Anyway this whole score bussiness doesn't make much sense. As I said what's the true difference between 96 and 97 ? It's just another pointless argument in fanboys ongoing internet flame war to prove which game is THE BEST EVUR.

I like games and play them to enjoy them. It seems to me than some don't anymore.

Thank you Luxorek. I went by this all time list.

And I so much agree on enjoying the games. It's like the 'graphics suck' nonsense we hear so often today. Those people should be stuck with an Atari 2600 for eternity.

Meh, I'm not sure what to think. I've never really liked "cinematic" games, since games aren't movies and I wish developers would stop treating them like it. Uncharted 2 and 3 are pretty good if you watch them as movies, but if you play them as games, they're nothing special. Fortunately, that means I can watch Let's Plays of those games without losing much.

By the way, whoever called this the "Citizen Kane of video games" should never review a game again.

Yeah I agree Luxorek, its sad the old games don't get remembered. I guess its natural, but nostalgia wise, its sad because it brings back so many memories. Thanks for the link, that was interesting.

I wish I could play this game bigtime. How is the story, and character development?

It's a travesty that this isn't on PC. Hopefully PS3 prices take a nose dive after E3.

Lots of modern games rely heavily on set pieces, even Mass Effect 3 had its share on Earth, Tuchanka & The Citadel --- This is a shame, especially given that it sacrifices player agency for the sake of pwetty CGI & scripted events. Although, this game has toned it down according to some reviewers, who weren't particularly fond of Uncharted. At the end of the day it all comes down to what the player thinks, as a lot of good games have been shrugged under the rug by reviewers and forgotten.

It's so nice to see people disparage a game they've never played.

Exactly, in fact the moment I bought a PS3 late last year I pretty much stopped playing my 360. I'm surprised I didn't buy a PS3 sooner. As for Last of Us I'm not surprised it got glowing reviews. I may just get it in the future, I'm not burnt out on zombie games yet at least.
