The Uncharted series has no RPG mechanics whatsoever.  They are action-adventure.  I can't speak for The Last of Us, but I'm sure it mostly follows suit.

I'm kinda scared. Dragon Age: Origins and Uncharted2 are tied for my favorite game. If The Last of Us is as good as everyone says, I'm going to have to kick one off.

I was looking up the GameStop preorder bonus stuff, and saw that it mentions multiplayer. Any word on how that is? I'm lazy and haven't gone looking for it.

My local gamestop employee actually got to test it or see a demo of it somehow and was excited about it. I guess the way it will work is you create your character and you're put into a clan of other survivors. You move about with the group, scavenging and whatnot, and if you run into another group, well combat probably happens.

Supposedly the interesting part is that if/when you die, you don't respawn. You start over again with a new survivor. Permadeath will really drive the survival aspect of the multiplayer to new levels. Not sure if I'm interested, but I give them credit for not softballing it.

First walkthroughs are starting to pop up on YouTube. Being an impatient idiot I, of cource, had to watch the first 20 minutes - and holy hell. He is the link - we will see how long it's gonna be there. My impressions ? Well, amazing voice acting, animations and I just... feels.

ive preordered the joel edition but it can't beat uncharted 2

I am currently in the progress of playing the game. So far it is actually very good. The voice acting is top notch and the visuals are pretty amazing. I'm used to mouse and keyboard, so it takes a bit longer for me to get around, but one thing should be mentioned:

- You don't have an unlimited amount of bullets, so you have to be careful who you decide to shoot. If you run out of bullets you can use your fists, or other things laying about in the area you happen to be in. Sometimes you have to improvise.

I have a lot of friends who have finished the game and have heard nothing but positive reviews from them. Some people finished it in ~17 hours while others started on hard mode and finished it in ~20 hours.

I wanted the Joel edition but Game only do the Ellie edition.

This will be my first pre-ordered game for my PS3.

Without spoiling too much I'll say, yes a bit. I'm only about 2 hours in though so I have no idea if more will come.

Nice watch though. But little girls shouldnt be selling hardcore drugs just so she can buy her daddy a watch for his birthday. Its nice but no.

I just finished it right away. and i must say... Just wow .. I am not a big console gamer (Mostly pc) and  this game visual blow me away. Everything was handcrafted(which explain the high level of presentation in this game) and the job to make it come alive most have been very meticulous lloll or the guy who make this engine was be a frigging genius.

The story was great and often came close to cry . The character developed super well and if you're the kind of gamer to let yourselves immersed .. YOU WILL BE.

The gameplay was great too .. hell I think everything was becoming better and better more I advanced into the game. Like the DEV becoming better at crafting this jewel..


10/10 for me  . For this genre.Best PS3 game period. It's not my favorite game of course, but if it's was the kind of game I enjoyed the most it would.

it's a slow paced game IMo .. It need toi be played this way .. If you're the kind of of rushing through content.. Pass. If not.. Jump on it.

Now I think I going to start a new game plus ! Or play it online
