Hi guys, I'm importing a character from OC and he has a focus on longsword. Will I be able to find a good longsword in MOTB??  And what about a good shield?

Thanks for help

Also... Which items should I have with me in the end of the original campaign, when I'm going to import my character to MOTB ??

Yes, you'll find that good longswords and shields are available in MotB, both at shops and from quests, and you'll also have a good crafting companion available from the beginning. In fact, there's a quest at some point where you can get a magic weapon that can change itself to whatever kind of weapon you want.

I don't think it really matters which items you have with you from import. You can start with a brand new character if you want.

The magic weapon Tchos mentions is bugged in the game though such that if you change it to longsword you can never change it to anything else. Since your character is longsword focused that is probably ok. I uploaded a fix for that to the Vault as well as including the fix in my MotB Makeover (requires SoZ installed).

Thanks to both of you, especially to Kaldor, because I saw your mods and they seems to be a mustadd!!

Anyway, I've got some questions:

1- Where can I find a Cold Iron and Alchemical silver, however, do not place any enchantments and do not take up a slot.
Kukri and a Cold Iron and Alchemical silver, however, do not place any enchantments and do not take up a slot.
kama??

2- I remember time ago that many years ago, when I played MOTB, I went to the the wells of lurue before going to the Ashenwood forest. Now the question is: Did I find any clue about it?? Is there any clue about the wells in the game? I mean, how did I know that I could go there?

3- Does someone know which shopkeeper has items that MUST BE BOUGHT?

Thank you for help

I can't recall where to find Cold Iron or Alchemical Silver exactly, but I would guess (1) Azim al-Qototh; (2) there's very little of either available.

The message to go to the Wells of Lurue is delivered by a little girl (Kuarra?) who waits for you by the front gate after you've dealt with the spirit army.

There really isn't much that I would call a must buy (except for the Essences sold in Safiya's Academy). There really aren't that many merchants in general.

The Dream Dagger is a reward for winning three rounds of Hells over the Coven's bard captive.

Some near-must items I recall:

Azim has a sling with unlimited ammo.

He or Mother Feodora has Ferenyth's Redemption, a belt with Regeneration 8 (I think).

The ogre-mage near the sunken city has Imaskari Bracers of Immortality (CON +8) and the Naught Katana.

The berserker merchant at the garrison has a leopard hat for Gann.

The devils also have a Headband of Intellect +8 and a greatsword that casts Heroism.

The witch merchant has a Brooch of Shielding and a Cloak of Fortification +5.

Magda, the dwarf theater-owner, has a Finch Hat and the Tragedian (okay, this one is a must).
...

But stuff you make or find will be better than just about any of that.

Thank you I_Raps. Another question: is there a good source for spirit essences??

Which enhancement would you add to your own weapon?? Acid?? I mean, enhancing my weapon with the void essence (cold damage) and the shape of fire essence (the one you get in the ashenvood burning forest) seems to you like a bad idea? Thanks for help.

also, is vampiric enhancement added to weapon "good"? I feel like monsters may be immune. Am I wrong??

If your character is as thirsty for spirits/souls as my characters usually are, then you'll get lots of spirit essences by draining enemies when they're 'Near Death'. The few times I've finished MotB, I've had plenty of spirit essence stacks left over.

You'll be fighting a lot of undead and spirits, so I've found that good old-fashioned fire damage usually does the trick. I've never really used any of the special essences though. Plain essences provide plenty of crafting options of their own.
