Depends on whether or not there is a gay male romance option, if so, it will be my first. One of my Sheps stick with Ashley, but eventually I will check them all out. I need to meet the new guys first before I decide.

We'll have to see....I mean I like Ashley, but if there's a possibility that I could turn Miranda to Paragon I'm all for it. And also there's the possibility of the new Shepard that I start for ME2 going for Kelly Chambers but we'll see

Nope. In the game I plan on importing, I killed Kaidan instead of romancing him till the end.

For some reason, I'm starting to warm up to Thane despite the whole fish thing (I have repeatedly mentioned my extreme hatred of seafood, although I'm perfectly okay with fish in aquariums *chuckle*). Even Jacob seems potentially interesting after seeing one of the more recent vids where he was talking about the Council. I guess it all depends on how meaningful the interaction with the ME1 LI in the game is. Clearly the ME1 LI will appear during the SR1's destruction (this can be seen in one of the vids floating around showing Ashley during the attack) AND at least one other point based on Liara's appearance in the game where she says, "Shepard...you're alive." - or whatever the exact phrasing was.

LOL - uh, yes...not planning on...that would just sound wrong if I actually say it. Yeah, I probably should have added that I can't stand the smell of seafood and the occasional sliminess - in Thane's case I didn't mean taste per se. *cough*  For the record though, I have eaten  maki rolls with pickled veggies, so I'm not anti-nori/anti-seaweed. :happy:

I romanced Ash, but if Talimance is in she's out of luck. If it isn't, I may stay with Ash, or I may romance SuZe (or Samara if she's a LI).

I hope there's some way to break up with your ME1 LI honourably and amiably.

Anyway, I'm glad that so many people have replied and voted. Sorry I screwed up with not adding some options to encompass some of your plans. I'm actually pretty surprised at how close the vote is between ME1 and ME2 romances!

I am reconsidering what I will do with my main FemShep particularly because of JOKER'S WAITING FOR YOU ON THE BRIDGE.

But...you know...in the end, I am a Talimancer. Every Shepard I make may **** around with the other squad mates but there will always be that unrequited love for DEM HIPS.

Someone else. While Ash was alright, I definitely didn't like any of the other ones, so ME2 will give me more options. My female Shepard didn't romance anybody, and while my male Shepard romanced both Ash and Liara in different playthroughs, on this last playthrough I'm not sure I'll romance either of them. If I do it'll be Ash since I don't like Liara at all.

My main Shepard (female) will stay loyal to Liara. The only way that will change is if Tali is available for femSheps, which I highly doubt.



My male Shepard will go for Subject Zero; she's his kind of girl.

My current plan is to stay faithful to Kaiden. However if I return to a, "You've been dead for two years, I've moved on. Sorry." she's going to need some serious consoling.

Depends on how the other options work out for my (female, traditional) Shep. Kaidan was great and all, but, he was never as involved with Shep as he could have been.

Although I intended for this question to be aimed at your "main" Shepard, I'm thinking about remaking this poll to include options I simply forgot and to better encompass those of you with multiple Sheps with differing romance plans.



But as I mentioned before...the poll generally has done its job for me. I am still surprised at the close race between old and new LI's. Somehow, I expected there to be far more "ronery" Shepards.

I only have one character that might cheat on their LI, but I doubt I'll even bother playing as them in the upcoming game. Well, aside from testing the waters so I don't screw up a playthrough with one of my main characters.
Everyone else is loyal to their LI's, or didn't have an LI in the first place during the first game. (Well one did, but they got Virmired. )

My Shepherd will probably go with Miranda, though I also really like Subject Zero.

Tali is interesting in that there could be a romance subplot with no sex as the prize you get at the end. If my memory is correct, it would be kind of like with the nameless one and fall from grace in Planescape torment. Could perhaps show a level of restraint not normally present in CRPG romance subplots.
