Indeed I am very pathetic for waiting to see the game before pre-judging it on things that had minimal impact on the original game to begin with. In the whole scheme of the original game romances were what 20 minutes tops of conversation and yet you seem to hold some grudge against BioWare for committing some sacrilege against you.

Pathetic indeed. I wouldn't call you on it if you didn't have to throw some snide remark in there like a petulant child.

Edit: I understand for some Romance is important but come on lets put it in perspective here.

I started a new profile with no romance just so this wouldn't be an issue. IDK about SuZe, thats a bit too weird for me, so Miranda or perhaps someone else

In the whole scheme of things, what point are you making, besides how pathetic you are? What have you quoted? One post that acknowledges the potential Liara has a small to almost nonexistant role in ME2 backed up by dev comments on the subject?

You have prejudged this game plenty of times, anyone familiar with your posts and tone can attest to that, your stance on the changes in ME2 are very clear to anyone that has read your "posts". All I am saying is that you are entitled to your stance but seriously must you jump in every conversation and add a snide remark to remind us your disdain.

We get it you don't like the "role" of the current love interests but you still don;t have any contexts for what that will be. Perhaps I put you on the defensive with my usage of the word petty,and that was a misstep on my part but maybe I don't know if you just gave the game a chance instead of assuming that the role would be minimal maybe you would not be so bitter about it? I mean words like minimal or small are not objective terms, they are very subjective and it could actually be more substantial then you give it credit for.

of course it could be less, but I think that BioWare will handle it quite well since it appeals to the hardcore fans.

My main Shep will stay true to Ash, my renegade femshep will cheat on Kaiden, and if possible if he confronts her in ME3 kill him, and my neutral shep, I'm not sure, he may stay true to Liara, he may not, depending on how the interaction with her goes down in ME2

I won't with 4 characters. Two that already romanced someone and two that won't romance anybody. The other two will probably go to Miranda and Tali if she's available.

Depends.  My MaleShep that has Liara as an LI will continue the romance if it is possible.  If not guess he is blue balling it till ME3.

I do have a single Shep ready to go for Tali.

Undecided on my FemShep.  She had Kaidan as an LI.  If Thane is an interesting character she may go ahead and cheat.

I think I'll stick Kaidan on my main Shepard. The paragon one.
The other Shepard I'm working on as a Renegade, I'm going to cheat on him, just to see what happens.

Well first of all this is just a game, so yes offcourse I will. And thats not just because of the off change it might cause some interesting conversations in ME2 and ME3.

Unlike a lot of other people, I like Kaidan a lot and pretty much most of my chars got intertwined with him. I was actually sad to learn that he wasn't available during ME2 - or so it seems. This means that a lot of my chars will stay single during ME 2 - while I just might start one game where my char stays single during ME 1 to address the new possibilities.



Ah - the horrible fate of a Kaidan fan-girl...

If Kaiden were more developed, I would have stayed with him, but it seems as if I may be making a run for Jacob - that is if he's better developed.

I will most likly not cheat on Liara with my male Parogon shep, But he may flurt a bit but no kissing and what'not.

My original Paragon Infiltrator FemShep will stay with Kaidan if only to see what it's like. If they drifted apart, she might move on, but probably not.

My later Paragade Adept FemShep Virmired him because Ash had more family to mourn her, and it broke her heart. She'll almost definitely romance Thane and will be my first actual ME2 playthrough.

My Renegon Vanguard FemShep will stick with Liara because they were in love.

My Paragon Sentinel MaleShep will stick with Ashley because they were in love.

My other Neutral Engineer MaleShep will cheat on Ashley, or break up with her, because he's a self-deceiving hobag who doesn't know what he wants when it comes to women. He'll probably go for Miranda, unless Zero unexpectedly steals him.

My racist Renegade jerk FemShep will cheat on Kaidan and enjoy it because she's an evil witch.

I'll probably do a Default path MaleShep to romance Zero/Tali, assuming they're available, and another FemShep to romance Jacob as well. And if Joker's available, well... we'll have to see, I guess.

My Male Shepherd playthrough will probably...stray. As for my female one, which was my main one in ME 1 and who romanced Liara, I will probably stay loyal. The options for female Shepherds look pretty lame, so I guess I will stay true to my blue asari love...

I have no idea if I will actually "like" and the romantic interests in ME2. We'll see what happens after several conversations and even more explosions.
