I have been learning how to make custom content from the CCG and i noticed the guide is very old, 10 years old in fact.  From the start i found several dead or outdated links and have been trying to replace them with new ones (mostly from this forum). However there were few i couldn't locate, i would appreciate if someone knows where can i find them or their replacement. Once I complete the study i will upload a copy of the guide with the new links.
For now i coun't find the following files:

1) Texport (wonder if I could replace this one using LithUnwrap v1.3 Brads LithUnwrap found here http://files.serious....php?fileid=198)

2) Custom race tool (Codi's Character creator)

3) several links related to the former bioware forum (wanted to know if there is any backup of those files somewhere)

Thanks.

You don't actually say which version of the custom content guide you are using. There is the Custom Content Guide v3.0 by Eligio_Sacateca that was last updated 8 years ago. Also the DLA Custom Content Guide which in turn was last updated in 2010. I believe there may be still others out there on the web.

I searched both the vault and via google and can't find any mention of Texport, sorry. However, you don't say what it is and which modelling program it is designed to work with so I am afraid I can't offer any alternatives.

Now for possibly better news. CODI NWN Character Creator Updated to Support SoU, 1.32+ is still on the vault. However, since it was last updated in 2003 you may want to consider the PRC Character Creator 1.8 (Linux and Mac compatible) which was last updated in 2009 and is based off the CODI one.

Hope this is of help.

The guide version i have is Eligios guide v3.0 indeed.

Texporter is one of the tools refered to in Eligio guide. as described by himself  "is used to unwrap an already textured object into a bitmap for painting (after you have run ChilliSkinner, for example) ...".

The Prc character creator can be used to create custom races in a non prc module ? if that is the case it might be useful for me.

Thanks for the info, specially DLA and original bioware forum backup.

According to the top comment on the PRC Character Creator page it is not just for prc enabled stuff. I don't personally know if texporter is still relevant or if updates to the modelling programs have made it not so. But if you wait a little longer I am sure someone who does know will reply.

Did someone say Texporter ?

A decent uvw utility but it needs a manual and an update to cover later versions of max
All of which is beyond me. As a tiny tribute to Elgio, and the wondrous Nwn community, I'd gladly share (my archive) the copy I have but where (how) to send it?
version--- 3.5.18.7_x86

No guarantees tho, because it is lurking on a very old harddrive

Actually, as I consider plugins and another thread elsewhere, another excellent plugin for ancient versions of max is the one: PolyChop I have a copy somewhere (may be corrupted) but it needs to be updated to later versions of max too...

Anyone up for that?

@Killmonger why not post them on the vpp (aka The Neverwinter Vault) for anyone who needs them?

Yeah, I've already tried that...
FTP reports a critical file transfer error which I have not had time to interpret
Perhaps I need to login to VPP before I upload via FTP, I just have some RL to consider...
I pm'd RK but I'm sure he's a bit busy
As soon as I can I will.... :)

Right
After a bit of wrangling, the project Texporter is posted with the vpp.

Bless you Elgio, where ever you are...

Texporter v35 (2007) will work on max7

<edited>

Its ok...
I took the inference and ran with it.
Nwn1 has been around for some time now....Posted Image

In a burst of ocd ... I had to do right by Eligio.....Posted Image

So I scoured my hard drive and reformed the files that have been uploaded to the VPP

Now there is a collective of all available versions of Texporter [up to max9 only <sorry for that> ]
And I have a collective of all Polychop plugins [max3 to 4.2+ (?) and again max2009+ and max2012]
All are now posted.

If a CCG v4 does ever arrive we will need up to date tools that can replace the older links in CCG v3 and they may have to work across multiple platforms. (documentation and simple tutorials too)

Hope it all helps out....
