 Because Batman. Everything Batman.

I'm re-watching TAS from scratch. It's been too long.

In Batman news, the new show starts in July, Beware the Batman. Apparently, no classic villains in the show except for Ra's Al Ghul. Good idea? And the art style... I don't know.

Because, sweet Batman art...

I liked Batman TAS a lot when I was a kid, but it wasn't until I rewatched it as an adult that I learned to fully appreciate what they'd done with it. None of the following Batman shows will likely ever be able to surpass it. 'The Batman' had some redeeming elements, especially in later seasons, but all in all I didn't like it very much. 'The Brave and the Bold' was fun at times, but yeah, it was kinda silly in an enjoyable way.

'Beware the Batman' just looks damn weird. Katana as the sidekick? Action Alfred? No focus on classic villains? Although I guess it's understandable that they try new things, because classic Batman has been done near perfect in TAS. Ah well, I guess I just don't understand why they feel the need to yet another Batman show. Also I don't like the art style very much. I'm still gonna check it out when it airs.

Batman Beyond is pretty good. Would rate it second best after TAS.

The whole DCAU is pretty damn great - Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League/ JL Unlimited. Also I'd rank 'Mask of the Phantasm' as one of my favourite Batman movies ever.

No Batman, but he kind of is nowadays, atleast in new 52. I didn't latch onto Aquaman too well in Justice League animated. He was just so... bitter.

Ok, 'The Batman' I don't think the design was TOO bad.

Joker however, has seen better days.

If anyone fancies, please share some nice Batman artwork.

Who is that on the left? Looks like the tags are reversed...

As far as movies go, I still like Keaton as Batman the best, Bale being the best Bruce Wayne.

I loved watching the classic 90s animated series growing up, got the first two seasons on DVD, will pick up the others eventually. Fantastic series! Also Keaton is my favourite Batman easily and Mark Hamill is the best joker!:wizard:

Damn straight he is.....and he deserves it. Batman is arguably one of the greatest comic book characters of all time.

I just started ng+ on Arkham City. I hadn't played the game until recently (got the GOTY edition for $10 on amazon) and I'm still amazed by it.

Yep, Arkham Asylum is still worthy. I like it better in some ways, like it being more focused. But AC is still great. I LOVED the first time I saw this view in Asylum. A pretty amazing sight...

I agree to a T here. Conroy is my definitive Batman, and I still thought Ledger was pretty darn good for third.

I love Burton's renditions. Nolan's Batman is good too though, obviously...

The problem I have with Burton's is that his Batman walks like if he has a stick up his ass.

I never noticed. Now, I probably will.

For Hamill/ Joker fans, he may have hung it up for Arkham games, but he HAS stated he would love to do an adaptation of 'The Killing Joke'. This will happen somewhere down the road. That's the inside talk anyway. Long overdue IMO.
