I'm on a bit of a Batman 'kick' and want to check out the animated series/movies but I'm not sure where to start. I did watch the animated series that was on TV but that was ages ago. Advice?

Really, from there, the next logical step is Justice League. Of course there is a little less Batman, but still he gets plenty of face time. The Flash (Wally West) is worth the price of admission. There are some arcs that carry through the season, that I think is a nice touch. JLU, the second season, really hits it's stride, with many, many more Justice Leaguers added to the original 7, and some fun characters. I really like Green Arrow here in particular.

This is my favorite version of Supes, too. He's very nerfed here, maybe too much first season, but he just has to be to some extent. And I'm thinking of an episode where he is just so fed up with Darkseid, he refuses to help him defend his planet from a Brainiac attack, and when Darkseid says millions will die, Superman's response... wow. Good stuff.

Is that when he beats the **** out of him? "How powerful I really am!"
Awesome stuff, and as a Batman fan, I got goosebumps (which I usually don't since Superman's story's aren't as thrilling or exciting.)

This will be my first one since I just got into the game. Epic trophy and date manipulation is a no-no. I'd love for him to say something admonishing you if did that, but then that fourth wall would be shattered and Batman would be confused.ShepnTali wrote...
Thanks for the reminder. I always forget to check in on the holidays. I think I've only nailed 3 so far. I should get that trophy in about 50 years. I refuse to cheat with the date manipulation.
Thanks! Netflix doesn't have TAS streaming but they do have Justice League and Batman Beyond among others.ShepnTali wrote...

Of course, there's nothing wrong with going back over TAS. To me, it's pretty much the definitive Batman anything. It's hard to believe it's 20+ years old. It still stands today so well in many ways, including subject matter. It was also the birth place of Harley Quinn. I can watch these forever.

Then there's a bunch of animated films worth a look. I recently enjoyed 'Doom'. It was a comic story arc compressed into 70 or so minutes, but it's a fun one.
