Important to note that sometimes people are "in" the hack that are "out" of it.

1. No. Just... ask. If they're not doing it, they either don't understand the game or are inconsiderate dickbags.
2. If you want. You don't need to be an infiltrator to get it done, though. I tend to rush the objective regardless, just 'cuz.
3. Use a mic. And English. Most people in the world with an internet connection speak at least some English.

I think objective rounds are pretty situational sometimes, so it's not so easy to have a strict rule on how to handle them. Generally I'd say that everyone should at least try to help, but it's not really that smart for four people to stand around one device that needs activating, so in that case being on the other side of the map and killing stuff there might just be the most helpful thing to do.

When I'm playing an Infiltrator I try to do the devices, but it's often better if the closest player does it instead. If the opportunity is there, why wait for someone else to run across the entire map first?

The one thing I really really can't stand though is people being outside the hack circle. Mostly it's just one guy, but I've made it a strict rule of mine to NEVER go and revive them when they inevitably go down at some point. I will go after the well-meaning dumbo who came to help them and gets killed himself, but the a**hole who left his team alone in the first place can rot in hell as far as I care.

That's not what I said, or what I meant. If someone from Norway is in a game with someone from Mexico, it's way more likely that both know some English than that either knows the native language of the other. Don't be a judgemental dick just because people promote practicality.

I enjoyed every post on this topic. After hundreds of Bronze hours ( like almost 800 ) I long ago learned to never expect anything but random performance. It IS frustrating to be with really poor players, but it's Bronze, so I try and set a good example, but a Juggernaut will NEVER move the pizza fast! Maybe I take the game too seriously, cause if I show my high level banners, then I darn well should not play like an idiot.

1. Not at all, it helps a lot I think. I have found that especially when two or three players issue some friendly reminders on the mic, a single Mr. Rambo will often quickly join the team for the objective. Surely less easy & more annoying with multiple soloists or especially poor players who sometimes simply don´t seem to understand the objectives. I like the quick-step-out-of-the -hackcircle on-host trick a lot if the player knows what they´re doing and then take the heat elsewhere, but other than that it will be best to do it as fast as possible, so everyone should help with it.
2. I always try to get them especially if I am the lone Infiltrator, but regardless of class played if you are the closest and/or fastest one and no enemies around the target there is no good reason not to get the device
3. Many times a friendly mic reminder has helped. If they understand the basic game mechanics, then they can probably figure out what you are getting at even if there is a language barrier if you call them by name. If they don´t and/or don´t care, you are probably better of treating them as kind of mobile decoys for the rest of the game and enjoy playing with the good teammates.

For pizza objectives, only thing that bugs me is when someone picks it up and doesn't know how to run with it, when someone (Like myself) has already demonstrated in the map that he knows how to run with it. At least this represents effort on their part though so I understand it. It's just inefficient.

How do you run with the pizza, anyway?

On XBox if you move sideways or backwards you will move a bit faster, on pc there is a trick
with the spacebar that lets you rapidly drop and pickup the package. I cannot run the length of Rio
backwards and not spend half my time bumping into things. Maybe someone can say if a few seconds saved makes a real difference.

1: No. Not in general. A few hacks need someone outside the circle drawing away aggro (london, Goddess central hacks for example),, but in normal situations everything else needs no more than common sense and goes better with more people helping for most of the time. 123 are the tricky ones in PUGs I find. Someone far away killing stuff is the sign of an idiotic teammate with no tactical sense whatsoever.

2: If you are playing as a character who can do the objective better than your teammates you should expect yourself to do them, no? Pizzas done by the fast guys, 1234 done by the closest / infiltrators.

3: Up to you, no?  (tho it's not like the voice chat system works especially well soooo. If you're alone, stepping out of the hack escort etc  and doing nothing somewhere safe is an example of how actions work better than words. (IME it only evr caused a wipe once which is a funny story all in itself.)

The other thing I haven't read in this thread, or any, tbh, which works really well, is that... when you see the first of the 1234 spawn near someone else and they get it and you can see the 2 teammates go to cover them, then position yourself two objective spawns away, where there's no enemies. An awful lot of the time it spawns right next to you and it's a free and easy one. Suddenly your halfway done with 4:30 left on the clock and no one has even got shot at yet. Far betting than killing things and forcing them to spawn next to your teammates.

Have fun :)

I'm on PC so it might be different for consoles.

There's a couple ways to get started*, so that takes practise to perfect.

Start with picking it up, then hold your spacebar down as if you are going to run, once you start running, just a moment before or right as you drop the pizza, start pounding your space bar to a rhythm. (Quickly, but not frantically so. This too takes practise, experiment.)

So long as you keep up the rhythm, lag doesn't get too bad, and you take soft corners, you can run indefinitely with it.

*I started by taking a "running start" which I found easier to accomplish til I got the timing down for a pick up start.

Hopefully that makes some sort of sense.

+1. I've had one appear at my feet. Felt precognitive for a few moments there.

Shia, do I have this tactic right? I am almost always a juggernaut, so I should stand where all the players in the circle can shoot what I attract? I can think of quite a few spots like that, but I feel wrong by making the hack take longer. I'm always trying to improve my team performance, even on bronze!
