Lotion,
Just as a point of comparison, my two practice longswords (one aluminum, one steel) are about 53" total length (40" blade, 12-13" hilt). Steel weighs in at 3lbs, and this is with a thicker blade section for safety.
One complication is the fact that unlike terms such as "longsword" and "broadsword," greatsword never specifically refered to one particular type of weapon historically. Rather, a "greatsword" was merely the largest class of swords in use during a given period of time in the middle ages. IE: during the late-13th century, a longsword with a 36" blade and 10" hilt would have been called a greatsword because it was likely the largest type of sword in use at the time. By the late-14th and into the 15th centuries when the big zweihanders appeared that out-sized even the longsword, they took on that name.
Banon,
Armor that magically scales from Qunari, to human, to Elf, to Dwarf is already cutting things a bit ridiculous. Scaling weapon models would be taking it to an absurd new level (YMMV, but the game's presentation of weaponry REALLY bugs me as it is).
