1) Ser Cauthrien - badass warrior who can actually reason (i.e. before the Landsmeet).



2) Knight-Commander Gregeoir (sp?) - just always liked the character, a grizzled veteran who can deal with those pesky enemy mages

1: Duncan. I know he dies at the start of the game basically, but I think he would have been so amazing to have in a party (not to mention he's my favorite character in the game). Makes me wish that we had some travel time with him in the beginning so we could have at least fought a few darkspawn together.

2: Riordan. I loved his character! I hate that had such a huge role but such a small part.

3: Teagan. Who doesn't want more eye candy with you? And he's so nice - even when you don't defend the village and kill Isolde/Connor. I think he would have been so enjoyable to travel with.

Gorim would have been awesome, or Niall instead of having him sacrifice for the Circle. Or conscripting that cowardly mage hiding in the armoire (Broken Circle quest)...

Otherwise, I agree on Isabella... and oh! I want a bronto as a fighting pet! At least temporarily...

5. Swiftrunner. No real reason for him to join the party, I just love him.
6. One of those Chasinds getting harassed in Lothering.... I'm just kind of bitter about not getting a Chasind in the party, is all.
7. Of course Ser Cauthrien. I would have much rather had her in the wardens than Loghain. She's harder to kill than the archdemon, for christ's sake. :U

I would like for all the temporary companions from the origin stories to be permanent companion and I would love it if sandal could be recruited, but he is so overpowered it just wouldn't work

1. Fergus. Eff, I just strongly dislike how the Human Noble PC never sees him until the end of the game.. Seriously, wtf??

2. Cullen.. you could just see him with Morrigan and he'd be all "WHY ARE WE TRAVELING WITH AN APOSTATE?!"

3. Riordan.. I don't know; he's just so when I first saw him.

4. Sandal.. Come on, he just beasted a horde of Darkspawn in one room! All he had to say to you was :Enchantment?

1. That lady in Denerim that keeps talking about food in front of the Chantry.. You can just see her talking and talking and talking until the Darkspawn killed themselves.

Jowan. Poor, misguided fool, but I liked him, regardless. And he was repentant over the evil he caused. Forget Sten (though I like Sten, too); Jowan's a man who really needs a chance to expiate his guilt. And I liked the previous poster's suggestion that you would lose Wynne if he joined.



Ser Otto. A real Templar, and I wish I could have saved him.



Niall. Why, BW, why? He could have survived, I know it.

1. Duncan - Seriously, at first I thought he would be a playable party member. Then Loghain betrayed us at Ostagar. ;__;

2. Daveth - I liked him. I wish he survived the Joining.

3. Jowan - He's an idiot, but I would have liked him in my party. He wants to redeem himself and what could be better than to help the Grey Warden in his/her battle against the Blight. Plus, we need a male mage companion! xD

4. Dwyn -  For some odd reason, I thought he was a recruitable party member.

5. Riordan - C'mon! ANOTHER Grey Warden besides my PC and Alistair? Yay! Ooops! He dies a short time later? Boo... Plus, he has a sexy accent. 

6. Bann Teagan -  He could have been a potential romanceable companion for the female PC, especially since he seems quite taken with you if you persuaded him to tell you more about himself. ;D

Yes yes, Teagan.    My PCs have no desire to be queen, just the Arlessa of Redcliffe (once Eamon abdicates, of course )

I agree about Jowan and Cauthrien, as well.  Though Cauthrien might be too close to Loghain, it would be nice to have a girl warrior rawr.
