Actually, the way the games are handled, I'm afraid Liara is canon. They were pretty relentless on forcing a friendship with her. Then in the final battle, she gets in my head and wants to rest on my shoulders. It's like.. dude.. I have a LI. Why is that happening at this point in the game?
I ignore her gift. I don't want her in my head, period. The game does really force her on you.
I didn't know she'd get in my head. You know, "gift" seemed normal enough. lol.. My mistake.
It's kind of a problem with various characters though. It's hard to be nice to them without it triggering romance overtones. Cortez is one example. I want to sympathize with the dude, but once you do, he's like "I'll do anything for you." Or "I worry about you" for the rest of the game. Tali is equally creepy.

I think I'll do the ship thread (warning: this may ****** off some people)
Shepard/Miranda
Jacob/Brynn
Vega/Dr. Ann Bryson
Joker/Dr. Michel
Garrus is forever solo as a Turian playboy
Ashley never gets over Shepard. Is convinced that Miranda and Cerberus brainwashed him somehow.
Tali's hero worship of Shepard defers to Garrus, and then goes away over time. She finds a nice Quarian to settle with.
Liara never quite gets over her crush on Shepard, but realizes it will never be.
Javik is the lone Warrior
Conrad/Jenna
Samara is her usual Justicar self
Grunt has many Krogan kiddoes... and eats most of them by accident.
Wrex/Eve
Zaeed and some human/Asari prostitute.
Kasumi never gets over Keiji.
As my alternate, Kaidan gets together with Kelly.
Otherwise, Kelly doesn't have anyone, and she needs someone. Urz doesn't count.
That's pretty good, but I would like to make some suggestions.
Kasumi ends up w/ Jacob.
Wrex is w/ Eve until Aleena shows up and they resume their epic battle.
Kelly ends up w/ Tali.
Kaidan ends up w/ Ashley (the non-VS was cloned).
You must not like Dr. Cole.
Aleena is Aria. Calling it. Shut your face if you say otherwise.
Honestly, I'd rather Tali die in the final battle more than anything else. Probably Liara too.
I'd agree, though instead of cloning, they're together in death. Kaidan gets nuked, and Ashley gets shot.
Though headcanon for me has Tali, Ashley, and Liara getting killed on Earth. Ashley goes nuts before she dies.
And she dies like Kendra from the first dead space. Rather gruesomely.
I forgot about Dr. Cole. I don't know who to ship her w/. Maybe w/ Admiral Hackett. ****! I don't know.
Everyone thinks that. Let's pretend like she's a separate entity for now. If it was Aria, she'd open up a club on Tuchunka w/ Asari strippers and everything.
Liara can die but not Tali. Pick someone else to die in her stead.
Ashley commits suicide in front of the councillors.

She makes Shepard get a tattoo so that when he's lying half dead in a pile of rubble, she'll be able to find him.

I'm glad to see that this thread has lightened up a bit. It started off all creepy about getting turned into a genetic slurpy and sucked up into a Reaper, but we've managed to overcome that vibe.

Other endings got love in Citadel DLC too; Destroy's was just the most heavy-handed.
The Thane romance in particular feels like one where Shepard should die at the end.
The odd thing is, I'm an atheist and think it's kind of dumb.
That said, Citadel is rather ambiguous about its timing. The party portion definitely feels like it should come post-ending.
I'm still ticked they never clarified on High EMS Destroy.
Is this too much to ask for as the final slide in Destroy? (variations for each LI)

Miranda's is very good, though I won't lie, I think it could have been just a little bit better. I still say it was the best out of everything I've seen.
To be honest (and I know people will disagree), Miranda actually does feel up on par with Liara as far as LI's go now that Citadel is out.
