I found it pretty funny myself, and maybe it's just my time here, but the whole trapped in a dream world thing makes me think of the matrix and the IT in equal parts now.

Goofy, cheesy, no need to philosophically discuss and dissect, fun.

It's a nice, cathartic thing to experience honestly. Having a story just be silly and absurdist does wonders to relieve stress.

They had the same scene in Crew Expendable three years before ME2 came out and probably dozens more titles before that.

A couple of lines could possibly refer to ME3 ("That's the goal, not a plan" reminds me of Shepard's "We fight or we die" nonsense) but I don't really see it.

While I'm pretty sure Mass Effect 3 will be on the list of games it pokes fun at, I feel this thread is premature...
