I think her role in that pretty bad Dragon Age webseries sealed the deal: she's not that good of an actress when it comes down to that. I hate, and I mean it, I really hate to be mean to Felicia Day since she seems so invested in all her work and genuinely in love with all things nerdy but for the sake of quality I hope she either doesn't appear again or drastically improve her performance if that's the case.

That being said and thrown out of the way, I'm all for second opportunities. Perhaps this time she'll truly shine as Tallis, who knows.

Disliking Tallis the CHARACTER is fine, disliking Tallis because she looks/was created/is voiced by Felicia Day ain't. I liked Tallis. Didn't know Felicia existed before her so maybe that takes away some bias, I dunno.

Anyway the amount of petty, juvenile hate that inevitably gets thrown around in these threads make me sick.

Do you want her in the game? I don't really care about existence of her character, whether she appears or not, but apparently it made a little fuss not long ago. We also have an example of Diana Allers in ME3, which was awful mainly because of her voiceover or lack there of.

No, I could do without another story where the protagonost is railroaded into helping Tallis and the Qunari again.

But that's the problem for me - there really is no Tallis character, there is just animated FD herself (looks, voice, behavior). Obviously, it wouldn't bother me, if I didn't know FD at all.

I don't hate Tallis. Nor I don't hate FD. It's just my persnal preference, that BW spent their recources developing actual characters.

Maybe, I could easily see her as a possible Companion & I liked her in MotA DLC but the
railroading at the end really really REALLY annoyed me. But I imagine If they didn't have plans for her that wouldn't be the case.
As far as wanting her as a companion, yeah why not. Fleshing out some familiar characters would be cool rather than having to create a tone of new ones and I'm pretty sure we will get Cullen & Cassandra as well or at the very least as quest givers.

That said, I do think the people that want to pee on Tallis, set her on fire and then pee on her ashes are overreacting just a tad.

It would be cathartic, though.

I wouldn't mind, I think Tallis as a character has a lot of potential and I liked her well enough in MotA. (I've never heard of FD before that.)

Eh, I don't really care either way. I even kinda liked her in that web show she did and I don't think she's quirky based on that. Didn't play MotA though.

If she were included, they would probably have called the game Dragon Age: Tallis. That's how badly she hogged the spotlight. If they scaled her down to the same participation level as everybody else, took away her speshul snowflake status, handed out a few punchlines to the other squad mates, and allowed the protagonist to win every once in a while, she might be tolerable, but that would involve giving her a new personality. If she were a completely optional companion you could ignore, I would not care if she were in the game, but I would feel slightly cheated that her spot didn't go to somebody else.

I only played MoTA recently, and I don't quite understand the seething hatred some seem to have for her. I understand the issue people have with the lack of choice in MoTA, but that's more of a story/game design issue, than a problem with Tallis as a character.  I don't see what's so horribly offensive about her that people find so infuriating and despicable. She just didn't have the same depth as the other companions, but that's understandable given that she's restricted to a short dlc. I think she could be a great companion if she were more fleshed out, so yeah, I'd like to see her return in DA3.

But...but I went elbow deep in wyvern sh*t for her. I don't have a problem with it either way. I enjoyed MoTA. I also would not mind hearing more of the Qun from a source that joined it later and was not brought up in the culture.

I don't mind her appearing. But if she tricks me again into working for the qunari, then I want the option to foil her plans this time. I don't hate her - not for workng for the qunari, not for using me - but I was so pissed I couldn't support the Duke's schemes against the qunari.

I agree!

I think a lot of people would have liked her more if she wasn't a party member. One of the best things about Legacy was all the new banter added, but in MotA, not only did she take the place of one of your regular members, half the thing is spent just the two of you.

She was a fine character, and I think she'd be good if integrated into an entire game.

If there needs to be an elf companion that returns and not a new one I'd rather chose tallis than merril...

She is the only character that makes me chose the 'evil' option without any problem or thinking with/about the consequences. I a way she is excellent in her role as a annoying and/or short-sighted character :) . on the other side, the way she is written in MotA makes me feel like Hawke is a incompetent person who 'needs' some kind of weird babysitter do deal with the big bad world outside Kirkwall. And it is that feeling that makes me say no to an appearance in DA:I.
The struggle she has with the Qun and the fact that she still cares about both sides (those with and against the Qun), makes for some interesting possibility's for DA:I. If she appears I hope the writers will follow that road instead of continuing with the frustrating 'character flaws' she presented a bit to much during MotA, and if that's the case I'll just ignore here as much as possible.

If BioWare is only going to make me an unwilling pawn in her bs than no. If I'm given choices on how to handle her, even kill her, then yeah.

Felicia Day did amazingly well as Veronica in Fallout: New Vegas. Her character in MotA on the other hand. Maybe it was how Tallis was written? Or the lack of choices? Who knows. Maybe by that point, people were fed up on DAII and thus rio the  DLC apart.

For the millionth time:

I like Felicia Day, and I am not jealous of Felicia Day (if David Gaider actually said that I'm really sad, but I'm going to pretend it was a nasty rumor until I see a direct quote).

I do not like Tallis because I do not agree with her character's basic characterization, I think she is either confused or blatantly disregarding the Qun's own teachings in the way she behaves, and she is a hypocrite putting many more innocent lives in danger by being allowed to take the list at the end of MotA.  I find her quirky and cutesy Manic Pixie Dream Girl behavior to be annoying and offputting, given her role as someone who lies to Hawke and manipulates them into putting their life, and the lives of their friends, in danger, in order to protect spies who WILL cause the deaths of many people who will not want to submit to the Qun.  There is nothing cute or precious about that.

If Tallis's role in DA3 were similar to her role in MotA, I would not want her.  If anything, please put her into paid DLC again, so I can choose to avoid her.
