No you didn't, but DG seemed to think that most of the outcry against her was misplaced misgyny or female player jealousy which is why I mentioned the gender of Tallis.

Tallis was a Mary Sue.  No question.  There was nothing Hawke could do or so that would change her mind, alter what she wanted to do, but the entire DLC revolved around what a wonderful and skilled character Tallis was (when in truth for a two-weapon rogue her character was actually pretty weak compared with other two weapon rogue builds).  Her being male or female had nothing to do with it.

I totally agree with you (and everyone else) re: the Mary Sue part, but I don't think her obstinate views are what put her there. It's pretty much all encapsulated in her over the top introduction. 

IMO, a hot-shot NPC that can carry the spotlight well is someone like Wrex or Garrus. There was never a point in ME where a whole scene was cooked up to show how awesome they are (well, you can quibble about Archangel). 

Although I do think that if she was a Gary Stu it would be worse.

Good Gravy no thanks. The atrociously untalented created an uninteresting character whose only talent is being one of DG's friends. MOTA was little more than a railroading to accepting one character's view of things, which just so happens to be the Qun's idiotic idealology with absolutely no way to contradict it. If DA3 has Tallis, it will be a detriment rather than an asset.

I think we can do without any more "Thank-you-IGN-for-positive-reviews-no-matter-what-here's-your-character" characters. Though Tallis is still preferable to that thing in the Docking Bay 24.

No thanks. Could do with less self insert characters. If Bioware MUST make it in a shoddy DLC I'll have no intention of buying, no more E-celebs either, I couldn't give two figs about them or their work with video games unless they actually work on them themselves.

I liked Tallis as a character. I disliked her plotline gluing the Idiot Ball to Hawke's face.

i really really hated that live action thing she did. I like FD but honestly it was awful and her character in the dlc...urgh god.

Please just no. Can we have all new characters thats what i want. I dont want any cameos not from DAO or DA2.

The character was interesting and voice acting pretty good but the main reason I want her back is that her story was really left up in the air and as others have stated my character could really do nothing to affect it.
