Due to some space magic of unknown type, Shepard has a choice. He can release the Destroy wave as is or alter it to create a physically destructive blast that kills him and a great number of allies, including the Normandy crew. But the geth as a species remain intact. Basically, would you trade yourself and your team for synthetics?

Yes...

are you serious? I wouldn't sacrifice DIANA ALLERS for the geth

Really see I have a problem with that I like the Geth hell I like them better than there creators especially since there creators attacked the geth first and then they complain when the Geth fight back I mean come on did they exspect them to just roll over and die who would do that then creators attack again before Mass Effect 3. Then they actually exspect me to have sympathy for them yeah I don't think so they started it so they shouldn't complain when the Geth fight back so I would sacrifice the creators over the Geth well minus Tali that is I liked her.Image IPB

I wouldn't want to choose this option... yet I feel it is Shepard's job to do so. It would be a really hard, if arbitrary and cruel, choice.

I do consider the Geth guilty for choosing to submit to and therefore join the reapers... and I don't consider them truly "alive", but they became as close as a valid form of life as they could be. It's rather complicated.

In the end I would probably save my crew, because I'm weak and I care too much about them.

I don't see how anyone could choose alien robots over their friends, ship and life. They can be rebuilt, and according to the Catalyst they or something like them will be.

No because that is not what the story was about. It negates everything. It still rips everything away without any type of closure. The story was about friendship and relationships, and that ending still suddenly rips those away from you. Friendships you held close for five years. It is therefore unacceptable.

Considering the bashing Synthesis gets from Destroyers I'm gonna overlook this. Fair is fair.

Nope! Because, at the end of the day, I'm selfish and want emotional satisfaction.

...And I normally pick control.

No, that's little more than trading one genocide for another.

Only if Normandy crew counts as a people group. I clarified my numbers. About ten percent of your allies die.

Hmm save the Geth in exchange for killing Tali, Garrus, Liara, Joker, EDI, VS, Hackett, and a chunk of the allies that came to our aid?

Hmm what is the best way to put this?....HELL NO.

Besides, I only lose EDI in Destroy ending. Lose 1 to save many? That is acceptable. Too bad for the Reapers I don't approve of their methods, their reason for being created, or anything at all about them, I may have considered control.

No.

If we sacrifice more than one group of allies including the normandy, we might as well call it refuse.

One of the reasons I choose the destroy ending is because it destroys the Geth. Only reason I make peace between the geth and Quarians is so the Geth show them how to use their enviro-suits to accelerate their adaptation to Rannoch. After that the cease to be useful. Losing EDI is the only thing I don't like about the destroy ending. The geth must fry!

One of my destroyin' Shepards would have.

The other would choose to save herself and her crew.

Me? I'd keep controllin', rollin', rollin'.

Is this based on that idea of blowing the Citadel Relay and so nuking Earth and the assembled Reaper fleet?

Anyway, yes. My Sheps consider themselves, and their fellow soldiers, expendable if necessary.

But most of them would pick Control first anyway.

Here's a better idea. You tell Glow Brat you want him and all of his minions to fly into a star. They want me to control them anyway, so why not just issue a simple verbal order?

Oh right, that makes too much sense and is thus no good in the car crash that is the ending.

Alan, more or less. Mostly I just want to know if it's their honor intact or the survival of themselves and their loved ones they value more highly.

I pick the option that destroys the reapers. The rest of the rules is dictated by the Catalyst. So the answer is yes, it is acceptable.

In your scenario, no species as a whole is wiped out, yes? Then I would prefer it to what we got.
