just got cabal a few days ago.
first time i just went full melee. big mistake. never go full retard melee with the cabal.

Tried harrier cabal build, liked it, tried hurricane cabal, liked it even more, but then i remeberd the topic from Ziegrif,(dunno the link) about using geth scanner + biotic focus + javlin = profit!
so  i tried the javlin on her using this build:

I used phasic rounds3 for my ammo type. I kept a ULM/HVB hurricane as a security blanket, for anything that
rushed me or when i ran out of javalin ammo.
it weighs almost nothing and can still focus before it wears off, so why not?
went into U/U/G,  rolled geth / hydra.
epic lolz ensued.
the reload cancaling is easy w/ bio focus. even with the javalin 2 it was fun.
so did i miss anythingto make it better?

I find her melee to be exceptionally good. In fact, I find it easier to survive as a full melee Cabal than a full melee Warlord, because she can dodge Synch-Kill situations.

Because of the glitch when the Cabal equips a Javelin, that's why. Means you can see enemies almost anywhere on the map without scoping or using geth scanner. Not really my cup of tea but I can see why it'd be interesting to some.

The deal with the Cabal's vision thing is that it only shows you stuff you can actually shoot, meaning if you wanna have infinity wallhacks, you need Drill 3, which means you've gotta be REALLY accurate with your shots if you wanna use a Javelin effectively on her while still maintaining uber wallhack mode.

op you got zieg wrong, you do not need the geth scanner wtih BF + jav
that is the beautiful part about this setup and dont use the the ULM on the hurricane, it breaks the weight glitch and your cooldown will be enorm
but other than that yes it is awesome

This video from Ziegrif shows the glitch off. It's pretty weird, might be related to how much penetration your Javelin setup has.

No, it's the Javelin's Scope + Biotic Focus. It has nothing to do with the Geth Scanner.

Cabal melee bad? Salidprise pls. The melee Cabal tears through anything you put in front of it.

I have this bigass thread for stuff like this. None of the stuff in there should be news for regulars of the forum. Because you all should've read it by now.

And if there's awesome non-bannable exploits you know of that aren't covered there, you should let me know.

This. Enemies will be visible through walls as dark sillhouettes, even without Geth Scanner and even when out of scope.

The difference is like 1% so it's basically inconsequential. Sure, you free up a mod slot but if the glitch fails to kick in (which it occasionally does for reasons I still don't understand), having a full weight Hurricane AND the HVB is going to screw your CDs bad.

i was going to say to skip the hurricane altogether, even if you are in a situation where you would need it you can just teleport out of there. and since he is using biotic shield it would be useful to have biotic focus off cooldown more than just every 12 seconds. but of course it is all about preference
