The textures will not match the Bioware tilesets at all though.

If The George converted all NWN2 placeables there should be two cave entrances and two mine entrances in one of his placeable packs and/or the CEP. The textures will not match the Bioware tilesets at all though.
Thanks! That should help. I went back to thegeorge's haks and it looks like he had two: one in the rural pack, and one in the doors pack. From the screenshots it looks like I can use them, and I'll get started on pulling them out now.
It doesn't look like either ever made it into the CEP, though. I've been through the placeables in CEP 2.4 and found only one cave entrance by JDA, which isn't really suitable for the environment I want to use it in. There are a number of fissure models, but they're all too narrow to be a proper cave entrance. There are lots of NWN2 placeables, but I didn't find any cave entrances.

What I really want is a good cavern tileset with gradual and walkable ramps, like TNO or Seasonal Forest. Does anyone know of such a tileset that I could try?
Thanks in advance for any help -- Andarian

Those caves would work very well as flooded caves.

If it is enough for you if raise/lower works for tunnels, you should have a look at Baba Yaga's spider caves. It seems as if he planned to make the raise/lower feature to also work for the cave terrain, but unless there is a never version than the one I found, it isn't finished.

I love these myself and use them on my own PW, but they likely wouldn't work any better. Only the tunnels work when making sloped terrains. The way "tunnels" connect to the "great cave" also creates an outcrop of stone that causes creatures to frequently get hung up as well. I use this tileset alot myself, but I also have to take care and make sure that encounters are in tunnels or caverns and avoid the transitions between the two.

so the straigth crosser was planed as a cave creation tool as well
That here took me not a minute and I just used the tunnel for it and it looks like a cave to me.. now imagine with just darkness

It's an absolutely gorgeous tileset with amazing textures. Is there any chance in the nine hells it will be expanded someday, Baba Yaga? Please? I'd love to see tunnels that can connect to the sides of caves at the corners, and the ability to make diagonal connections with great cave squares. Maybe some water features, and a little additional variety on decorations like glowing fungus, and different mushrooms?
I know I'm probably asking a lot, but it really is an incredible tileset! Wow.

... but to be realistic the tileset is very old already and my style or how i do things have changed/ evolved over the years and now it´s almost impossible for me to get back to my older work and just create new stuff for them. I couldnt resist to rework things all over again and thats why i better stay off the caves. The glittering caves i havent released yet is more likely to have updates... I just need to polish it here and there and create a complete new 2da/ itp for it.
So sorry but i think I´m 99,9 % done with the spider caves.
...well a side entry for the giant caves is something i can do;)

Do you have some pictures of your glittering caves you could show us in a new thread, or have you already somewhere?
