 Am downloading Dust 514 and it's taking ages on my basic PS account. They have ME3 for free if you buy plus at moment so wondering does it allow for greater speeds etc and is it worth it. Also if I cancel later will ME3 still be playable or is it one of the that is cancelled without Plus?

As long as you pay the yearly PS+ subscription, you keep the free game. It's a great deal at the cost of roughly one game a year, considering all the PS+ perks there are. I've played many free games this way, and can always decide to buy it later if I no longer had PS+ account.


I'm pretty sure any game you buy with the PS+ discount, you keep regardless. And, I'm not aware of any speed changes. I don't know.

Thanks for info. I think speed thing more to do with having fat PS3 and using Wi-Fi - switched to Ethernet and it has increased the speed.

Any game they give you for free is playable as long as you're a PS+ subscriber.

If you buy a game with a PS+ discount it's playable even if you cancel your PS+ subscription.

Unfortunately PS+ doesn't help with download speeds.
