First of, I just want to say, there isn't a section that talks about the next Mass Effect game.

So if there that I couldn't find one, would a Mod/Admin please move this topic to that section please.


Anyway, I just wanted to ask a few questions if there has been official info released on what I'm going to talk about.

Q1: With the Xbox One/PS4 anounced, I know that the game WILL be released on them platforms, not to mention, on Facebook they are now in production of the game, will Mass Effect (____) be released on the on the current Xbox's we have now?

Q2: It was confirmed months ago that Shepard will NOT be in the game, but will his friends be in?
Like Wrex, Tali and all other people he meet? It just wouldn't feel like I'm playing Mass without any of them in.

Q3: Has it been confirmed if that the game's events are after the Reaper's defeat or before it?

I don't see the reason in bringing back any characters from past Mass Effect games I hope it's all new characters I don't see any reason to visit past characters since their stories have ended

The only information is that they're planning on making a new game in the Mass Effect universe and that Shepard will not be in it.

I'm hoping for new characters, cameos would be less of a problem though.

The answer to that question would be quite interesting. IMO, haven't we had enough of the Reapers anyway?

Since there aren't any official announcements yet, all we can do is to speculate and wonder. :innocent:

I am still hoping that they won't get sucked into a sunk cost argument. I would like to see a retcon of the story of ME2 and ME3, and instead have the next game be a sequel set in the world of the first and true Mass Effect. Or they could do a Cthulhutech game.

I mean seriously, you want a new character to come from nowhere and start commanding old war veterans, Admirals, turian highcommand people and the Lord emperor/clan cheif of Tuchanka?  

Aswell as screwing Shepards old LI's?  

I wodner where that new character would come from, that owuld command such respect and dignity witohut ever beign heard of durign the Trilogy for doing anything of note.  


I really can't see our old friends joining a permanent squad, a Cameo might be possible though. on a special mission like Aria on Omega. Even that would requier a very good reason.
Maybe if you're a mercenary and they due to extraordinary circumstances needs soem support because they suddenly lost their own escort or squad, or soemthing unforseen happend.

Then you can go, 1, it's a great honor!  or 2. I expect to be paid for this, even if it's a great honor.
3. I'm not doing anything unless you pay my fee!

The goodwill fame might be worth something aswell in the story progression.

Since Bio doesn't think ME1 was all that great compared to ME2 and ME3, you should abandon all hope.
