Masteries are coming along fine, Reckoning is just about done, and Blood Pack is just about done. Shotgun is near too.

Once those are done I'll be in the home stretch for BOTB.

So, next on the list is Krogan Adept with the Suppressor, Crusader, Striker or Geth Plasma SMG to get out of the way for weapons. How do you spec yours?

I use him as a boring, redundant lolwarpammo platform, with the Argus usually.

Warp - Det/Expose/Pierce
Barrier - Strength/Recharge/Strength
full weapon damage, full health/shields

6 in warp
6 in shockwave
5 in barrier
3 in krogan passive
6 in melee

wraith/claymore/grail with ominblade

the crusader is a solid choice. warp + crusader /w warp ammo will do obscene damage to bosses. mooks you can swat away with your ominblade

I see no reason to use him, when you have Human Adept.

He's trying to do the challenge, lol. Can't really get the Krodept waves with a HA, now can you? :P

I run 6/6/6/5/3 with him I think...

He is like 5 times tankier than human adept. That alone should be reason enough.

Doesn't matter. He can't CC or BE as good as HA. It's not even close.

I spec out of parried and go full weapon damage in his passives since I'm not using the biotic powers themselves for damage, but rather their biotic explosions.

Of the weapons you listed I'd use the GPSMG or the Crusader.

Go full melee, if you play him like a caster it's boring and repetitive.
Headbutt, shoot, warp, headbutt, shoot, shockwave...I think you got the pattern.
Grab a shotgun that can be fired even from distance, like the wraith, or crusader (better take recharge speed in barrier rank 6 then)

I use a 6/5/5/4/6 build with him, full durability in barrier, 5 in warp 5 shockwave (you miss 4-500 damage overall compared with a level 12 biotic explosion), fitness for melee.

Exactly this ^

If you spec any Krogan around something other than melee, you are pyjak fodder

Pretty much.

That he's just a re-skin kinda hammered the last nail in his coffin for me. Don't intend on ever playing him.

I spec him 6/6/6/5/3 for power synergy and damage reduction on barrier. Shaman is a much better (and way more fun) shockwaver than human adept, who lacks the ability to run fast in a straight line and headbutt.

Striker + Incendiary ammo + Warp = Profit

One of the characters I use the most in this game. My favorite adept and favorite Krogan. Strange to see people leaving him as the last obstacle before BotB banner (you are not the first one :)
Regarding builds there are probably 3 main archetypes: Caster, Weapon's Platform and Melee.

So far I played only as a Caster, for several hundred waves and many on Platinum. Warp + Shockwave combo is never tiring, if you are a biotic lover. It is not the quickest combo, but it is the strongest. Light weapons, weight capacity and Barrier Recharge Evo are a must. Suppressor would be a fine weapon, Geth Plasma SMG not so much. The other 2 guns you mentioned are just too heavy to make those BE happen efficiently.

I haven't run him as Weapon's Platform yet, but there are no secrets on how to do this: Warp + Incendiary ammo. You could put those 2 heavier weapons to good use this way. Skipping Shockwave would make him extremely tanky.

Full melee isn't on the same level as the other Krogans. But if you enjoy Raging around with Krogans, go for it.

A fun and interesting build is a full melee build, skip shockwave, full everything else. Use the Reegar and incidendiary with warp but also a good dose of melee.

I hate it. It's really hard to hit something with shockwave. There are a crapload of better options in the Bloodpack kits.

If you had to I'd skip passives and max everything else.

You've had this discussion over and over; I'm on the side that the HA is better but The Krogan does have a better heavy melee and is better at levels 1-5 when both kits only have warp.  Besides its irrelevant to the discussion because OP needs to get his waves done

The most interesting build I've used is 6/4/6/4/6
Wraith SC/HB (glitch)

I spec Warp and Shockwave with the recharge speed upgrades and the other normal evos and Barrier radius on detonate.

Its a fun build but is redudant to some other kits in the game namely the human adept

I concur.  I only used him to complete that one Challenge (200 Waves).  Very limiting kit.  No dodge.  No long range BE capability.  He's tough though, I'll grant him that.  But it's a kit I'm highly unlikely to use again.

As far as a "Biotic Adept", yup, the Human Adept surpasses the Krogan Shaman hands down.

Regardless, I ran my Shaman with this 6/6/6/5/3 build:

http://narida.pytalh...rvivorLoadout5/

And played him like a wrecking ball that spams Biotics.

Either skip Barrier, or put 3 points into it. If you do put 3 points into it, then take one point out of Warp. Max everything else out and tote your CQB weapon of choice with either Incendiary or Warp Ammo.

6,6,6,0,6 shock trooper 4,6,6,4,6 to compete with human adept, using krogan weight capacity, buffing barrier.

He's way more interesting than the human adept, which I had not even deployed until just now, after having the game since release, and I am glad they added him

6,6,6,0,6 shock trooper with Piranha X, Acolyte X

Piranha X does tremendous armor damage given enough armor piercing. On top of full strength biotic explosions with fast cooldowns, stagger and melee.

We get mealy mouthed petulance from adept players, but he is a krogan.  He gets up close and personal, and if you're not doing that then you're doing it wrong

Use Barrier offensively and often. This way, you'll be playing him more like the Fury than the HA, and is definitely more fun than playing him as a Warp+Incendiary tanky weapons platform.

I refer you to this build. Fun and super-effective, even on Platinum.
