 Hello,

I've been trying to CEP 2.3 and CEP 2.4 to work, so I could continue the adventures of my Prophet dwarven fighter/wizard. I have now exhausted every option I can think of. I've tried installing pretty much all versions on the vault. I even tried reinstalling the game and adding CEP to a clean install - no go. The game I have installed is the GOG Diamond version.

The problem is as follows. Whenever I try to launch the mod (Prophet II or even CEP starter mod), it loads to whatever percent and then the entire game crashes. Every time, and always at the same percentage. I can load the starter mod in the toolset without crashing and everything seems to work. I haven't tried the Prophet mod in the toolset. After loading the mod, as I said, everything seems to work. I can view areas and everything works. However, when I try to launch "Test Module", it again crashes at the same point. I have no further ideas.

Any help?

thanks,
finneouspj

<trying not to be...>

I strongly suspect you are lacking either the critical rebuild or proper permissions.
Check out the post here for links and advice.
If those don't work, post with a description of your rig and what you've tried.
This is a very friendly community and we'll help you get hooked :-)

OK thanks I think I'll try reinstalling once more using those instructions. Will get back to you!

<knew he was...>

Also, drop CEP 2.3 and do *not* use the CEP updater. 2.4 is all you need and you avoid potential conflicts.
