Of course we can dodge... just not like this. The enemies are much faster and a lot more accurate. If you tried to copy this video 1:1 on PC, then the normal Troopers would take you apart while you dodge the rockets. Just walking sideways is rarely enough to dodge rockets anyway, they seem to home in to some degree.
I assume this was on Bronze, right?

Salarian, quarian, geth can dodge it if timed right...sidestepping...you'll have to put on some adrenaline 3 on an already swift character to pull it off.
All that falls to ground if you're working on > 60 FPS

Anything above 60fps is for masochists only. I played one gold solo on 120fps and... well... I was never so glad I made it to wave 5 before wiping. ^^
The fact that the console silver footage looked like PC bronze to me explains a lot though.

I'm sure you're all better players than I am (especially since I never managed to finish a platinum solo). It's just that dodging becomes less effective here ... you have to work with cover a lot more. All those xbox/PS3 videos where someone is running past enemies and barely takes a hit... not really possible on PC.

I still like your videos and I wish I could make a few myself. Mhm... I'll look into that now.

The video talks quite a bit about taking "hard cover". Again, the word "dodge" is simply representing various ways to avoid damage. The beginning of the vid uses the rocket example but if you watch the rest of it....it pretty much details what you just wrote about taking hard cover.

I will do a test on my pc version at 30,60,120fps to see the differences. It may be a good test to run for sure.

Oh no man. LOL. I am definitely not doing this for any kind of "awesomeness". Its for the science. I do my best to learn and teach as much as I can. This is going to be another learning experience for me. 

I feel 120 fps will kick my butt. LOL. We'll see. Still its more to see the reaction times etc.

What we could do is do Gold Geth.

1st match at 30fps. Kill everything and leave one rocket trooper. I can work on dodging. Once I have that recorded then we die.

2nd match at 60fps. Kill everything and leave one rocket trooper. I can work on dodging. Once I have that recorded then we die.

3rd match at 120fps. Kill everything and leave one rocket trooper. I can work on dodging. Once I have that recorded then we die.

Everyone here should let me know if that's a good test then we can do that.
