It wasn't CGI. That was in engine footage.
Boooooooooooosh!
And with that, Priestly drops the mic and swaggers off stage.
QFT. Interesting trailer too. And the Wardens still playing a role in this, nice.

The hair moves! Totally happy they kept the small little feauture. I loved that about DA2. Always staring at the hair moving
I completely agree!
I hate it when characters have fixed hair; it makes them look so unnatural
I also loved the more ralistic look...the only thing I didn't like was the relase date, but I guess with such a far away date, I will just expect perfection
It'd better be perfect, Bioware

Of course, I want new characters too, but make use of these great characters and have them appear in a big way one last time.

Both Varric and Morrigan are easily recognizable. And in my opinion they look more realistic. Also the differences where to be expected being in a new engine and all...

Nooo, I'd rather Hawke die. That's messed up.AutumnWitch wrote...

That better not be Hawke's body varric is touching. No way will my Hawke die like some chump off camera.
I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body. I have a feeling it was Aveline esp since it looked like a big battle aftermath.

Again, it's definitely the same person, just more detailed.
Her jaw needs changing, and her face is lot slimmer in DA:O. But other than that? It's fine.
Edit: looked at the trailer again: the photo above doesn't do the face justice.

Not sure I liked Varric's new look.
He is distraught and frowning in one screen, in the other he is smiling... Of course his eyebrows and eyes look different. Humans change their expressions to convey emotions.
His eyebrows could change due to expression, but not the brow, the area where your eyebrows grow. It's more prominent - comes out kind of - in DA2. I also think his eyes are not only a different shape but also a little bit too high.

I really like it. It reminds me of the sacred ashes trailer Morrigan, whose appearance I felt fit the charcter better than her in-game appearance.

no way, oh god no please not Aveline... anybody else! I'll throw my Hawke to the wolves, but please not Aveline!

Any way folks, remember trailer =/= gameplay. I'm glad that DA:I is delayed though, means hopefully they won't pull a DA 2 on us.
Trailer =/= Cinematics not game'play' from what I saw. Game content sure, not CGI but not gameplay for me.
Anyways with over year till comes out I expect gameplay will be shown in due time.

Different engine and you were expecting her to look exactly the same? I thought she looked terrible in Origins and always download mods to alter her appearence whenever I repay it.

Which is fantastic, because the in-game DA:O model looked nothing at all like her concept art and CG model. I had to install a mod that edited her face to match Bioware's vision, since they failed at capturing it themselves.Mr.House wrote...

She looks like she still needs a little tweaking done to her face. Her nose and jaw look too wide compared to her appearance in origins.
That happens with age. It's been what, at least 10 years since origins? I'm pretty sure your bone structure won't look as slim as it did 10 years ago.

I couldn't stand sacred ashes version of her. I don't like this version either but she was the only one I saw in trailer that did not think looked good so I suppose thats good in general but I hope they improve her appearence before game comes out. I can put up with most of her features but that jaw and lips is just weird I feel. Like she had lip surgery that went wrong.

Do you know what expressions are? Angles? The one from Origins is just standing there, the Morrigan from the trailer is smiling. Of freaking course her eyebrows and mouth will look different, the angle the fae is being shown from can also explian the nose.

It is around 10 - 13 years past Origins. She would've been about what? 20 - 25? So she'd probably be around 30 - 38. Still pretty though
