I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body. I have a feeling it was Aveline esp since it looked like a big battle aftermath.

I hope it is a female, even if it's Aveline or Merrill. I don't mind Hawke dying but it should be on camera in an epic battle or something. an off camera death would be lame.

I really like it. It reminds me of the sacred ashes trailer Morrigan, whose appearance I felt fit the charcter better than her in-game appearance.

That´s it! It looks like they mixed both looks to me.

Eh, the trailer itself was mediocre. It didn't have anything that screamed "DA3 will be terrible", but it didn't exactly get me excited to learn more, which would be nice.

Did I saw Cassandra attacking a warden fortress? Weisshaupt Fortress? Something is happening with the wardens.

It was deifnitely a Warden fortress-- with the Griffon symbols and the Warden armor as it appeared in DA2. I'm surprised no one else notices this. They're all so upset with the character models, lol.

She looks like she still needs a little tweaking done to her face. Her nose and jaw look too wide compared to her appearance in origins.

Maybe more than "a little" tweaking, but yeah. I thought Varric was done rather well, and I wouldn't have recognized Cassandra at all if i hadn't read she was in the trailer. Overall I think I like the change of style from DA2 to this.

Didn't really like the trailer too much. As it went along it looked more and more like a trailer for... every fantasy game ever. Posted Image

But I liked trailer. I don't know why people are saying that they look ugly. Well Cassandra looked bit strange but good job :)

Well... Im glad it was engine footage. I notice a great deal changed in sfx, lighting, weather, water running down models, foliage that moves in the wind and they said open world. All very good things. Morrigan looks more like Claudia Black now! Nice touch BW! And I like the fleshy bits in the wings of the dragon. Maybe we'll get some nice skin maps this game?! Hope they keep improving on the character modeling. But... the wait... And I hope they actually put real huge crowds in the game and make the world look populated with various routines in each npc. Everything looks to be going in the right direction.

My complaints:
No gameplay. No story. No MP. No discussion on the game at all... I expected some real info and feel a bit let down honestly. I thought the trailer would be 5mins or so and not like a minute...

It is around 10 - 13 years past Origins. She would've been about what? 20 - 25? So she'd probably be around 30 - 38. Still pretty though :)

Her nose looks a little... Huge

And what's up with everyone getting massive jaws? srsly

By the way folks, remember this quote by Alistair? "Your nose" "What about my nose?" "It looks exactly like your mothers"

Did you see the detail on that Qunari face? That was awesome!

Also Bioware seems to change faces a lot when fans complain. Vega's face changed from released photos to the final product, Carver's did too if I remember right.

He is distraught and frowning in one screen, in the other he is smiling... Of course his eyebrows and eyes look different. Humans change their expressions to convey emotions.

His eyebrows could change due to expression, but not the brow, the area where your eyebrows grow. It's more prominent - comes out kind of - in DA2. I also think his eyes are not only a different shape but also a little bit too high.

That could simply be the angle of the face during the screenshot.

It could always be a female Hawke... you never know. Besides even if it's a male...wait no never mind, Varric wouldn't look that sad over one of the male companions in DAII

Omg. That WAS a woman's body.
I just wish they didn't kill anyone off screen...but I think we're just reading too much into this :P

Looks interesting, specifically as it is in in-game footage. I guess, aside from art-style choices, that has a great deal to do with some aspects / people looking different. Aside from "life changes oneself" the whole war / etc. must be taken its toll on e.g Varric. Granted with varric I had to look twice and with Morrigan I had to look at the dress :z ... but overall for a trailer it look interesting (in a positive way). At present "sacred ashes" still my favourite DA trailer (ok it is CGI but hey) ... but I'll see ;) .. might be the best looking game yet from Bioware.

In Fall 2014, a bit surprised, but it can just be a good thing ...:)

David Gaider is right. It doesn't take any time at all for female characters' appearances to be critiqued mercilessly. At least people are talking about Varric and Cassandra too.

I like the new design. Visuals look great.

I know that Gaider mentioned one thing he thought was overrated in games was photorealism (in his Koobismo interview), but I prefer realism. And judging on the trailer, the game looks magnificent. Good job so far, Bioware!

This so much. I think everyone looked fine and loved it. Let out a huge squee after seeing the trailer xD
I'm going to die before this game comes out. It's too much! I hope they can get the game out sooner. :crying:

My question is what side Morrigan is on. I, for one, didn't romance her or accept the dark ritual in my canonical run, but I love her character.

Flemeth's sure to appear too.

lol why not?  He seemed pretty close with anders.  So why does it have to be a female?

Friends from tumblr have pointed out that the place being attacked appears to be Warden related (the doors that were broken down had the Warden Sigil on them). And there's griffon gargoyles all over the place.
