As someone who has been mildly interested in the Dragon Age series, I have to say I'm impressed. If the trailer was in-game footage, then it looks awesome. Good thing they are taking their time with this one.

As for the characters, I recognized Morrigan when I first saw her in the trailer. So, from a casual perspective (casual as in I'm no lore expert or a hardcore fan, not as in casual casual), they seem to have gone a good job. Don't forget age and angles/lighting play a role in apperance.

Didn´t notice it. Just wondered if all the conflicts in the world were going to explode at the same time, as it didn´t look templar vs mage.

And unless the Wardens broke their neutrality pledge, this could make next Blight really funny...

So much this. I love Varric, but I was holding out for mostly new followers (with the exception of Cullen heh). I hope Morrigan is NOT a companion.

Personally, I don't want Morrigan as a companion, she's too involved, to mysterious now to be relatable as one. 

Varric on the other hand, I wouldn't mind him as a companion, I can see him tagging along with Cass at least.

I wouldn't mind Varric either. Not at all. But I hope that he and Cullen, and probably Cass are the only companions we will have known from previous games.

If they cannot even get the facial features right then the engine itself has problems. In any case, it's far too early to judge before they actually show some frigging gameplay.

They look nothing alike, at all. Diffrent size lips, diffrent eyebrows, jaw is not the same and her nose is larger. She looks ugly as heck in the trailer and looks nothing like morrigan from DAo.

Are you kidding? Morrigan looked great in DAO, much better than the Blur trailers for it. She was one of the few characters in gaming that I prefer in-game compared to the trailers and concept art.

That said, I'm sure it's not going to be as bad as people are making it out to be due to expression distortion, but they need to at least get rid of the "beauty mark." Morrigan doesn't have one and shouldn't have one. If anything, it makes her look worse.

The art style was very impressive, and some interesting story possibilities there.

Slightly concerned by the release date pushback, considering it was originally planned for a year earlier.

2014 is good, more time to get the story done right and the graphics are looking better and more real.

The game looks interesting so far.

I just rewatched it and it's definetly a warden fortress. I think this is much more important for the game then the new character models. Thedas is really falling apart. Wardens fighting Seekers, Qunari finnaly atacking and Flemeth in her dragon form for anyone to see.

Friends from tumblr have pointed out that the place being attacked appears to be Warden related (the doors that were broken down had the Warden Sigil on them). And there's griffon gargoyles all over the place.

I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body. I have a feeling it was Aveline esp since it looked like a big battle aftermath.

I hope it is a female, even if it's Aveline or Merrill. I don't mind Hawke dying but it should be on camera in an epic battle or something. an off camera death would be lame.

My LI in DA2 was Merrill so I am hoping its not her. MY Hawke was also female but I doubt the offcial Hawke would be. I am worried about both Hawke and The Warden because at the end of DA2 both Leiana (my LI in DAO) and Cassandra mention they are both missing. My gut is that after what they both went through and the time that has gone by neither would probably be drawn back in to the fray IMHO. It comes down to who Varric knows as well. My gut (and I am almost always right with these things) is that it is Aveline and her guards. Could be Bethany Hawke as she was a Warden and it looks like a Warden battle as well.

oooh!  I did not noticed that!  Did the wardens turned evil? 

The Wardens as a whole are always extreme save for Alistair and The Warden assuming you played as a "good guy" and not "end Blight at all and moral cost guy".

Though from the trailer it's implied you can choose which factions to take out-- so killing the Grey Wardens does seem like a possibility. The same can be said for the Seekers, Mages, Templars, though.
