And that gives some hope, unless someone decided to canonize femHawke (whch is unlikely). I've spent few minutes staring at this thing. To be honest, it does not even look like a body. Ropes and canvas?..But if it's a body - it's more like female one.I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body.

Liked the faces too of both Varric and Morrigan. Unfortunately I didn't have time to quite memorize the look of Cassandra, but I did recognize her face in the trailer at least.
Now, if they just didn't have a voiced protagonist, I wouldn't have any complaints at all this far (no, sorry, you won't ever get me to shut about that, even when you are working on Dragon Age ###, I will still request it, assuming that you haven't already scrapped the voiced one until then).
EDIT: I also liked what they DIDN'T show - the protagonist. Hopefully that means that they will at least try to make him/her a bit more of a blank slate for us to fill in. Hey, one can always hope, right? RIGHT?!

That better not be Hawke's body varric is touching. No way will my Hawke die like some chump off camera.
I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body. I have a feeling it was Aveline esp since it looked like a big battle aftermath.
I hope it is a female, even if it's Aveline or Merrill. I don't mind Hawke dying but it should be on camera in an epic battle or something. an off camera death would be lame.
It could always be a female Hawke... you never know. Besides even if it's a male...wait no never mind, Varric wouldn't look that sad over one of the male companions in DAII
lol why not? He seemed pretty close with anders. So why does it have to be a female?
I'd expect a shake of the head with any of the male companions as in "why why did you bring this onto yourself" because they likely ended up there due to their actions/stubborness. The female companions, however, really had no direct stake in the Mage/Templar was, making their deaths all the more tragic for the fact that they had to be dragged into it.
So either female companion, or a hawke.

Edit: looked at the trailer again: the photo above doesn't do the face justice.
Here's a different one. Hope it helps.

Did I saw Cassandra attacking a warden fortress? Weisshaupt Fortress? Something is happening with the wardens.
It was deifnitely a Warden fortress-- with the Griffon symbols and the Warden armor as it appeared in DA2. I'm surprised no one else notices this. They're all so upset with the character models, lol.
oooh! I did not noticed that! Did the wardens turned evil?
The Wardens as a whole are always extreme save for Alistair and The Warden assuming you played as a "good guy" and not "end Blight at all and moral cost guy".
Though from the trailer it's implied you can choose which factions to take out-- so killing the Grey Wardens does seem like a possibility. The same can be said for the Seekers, Mages, Templars, though.
Two AD left... not the best idea. And hard to implement for sequels. Wonder if this has anything to do with that problem they seemed to be having along DA2.

Of course, the gameplay could potentially suck, but I highly, highly doubt that!

I also love how Morrigan looked older. She was so young in Origins! Now she'd be in her thirties, presumably, and on top of that who knows what else has happened in the meantime. She looks amazing.

What if the Dragon we see is Flemeth and she is the one behind the green tear in the sky? Maybe you'l get the choice to join Morrigan and save the world, or join Flemmeth.
Might explain the 'will you stand againts it or lead this world to its bitter end' from Morrigan.

I just rewatched it and it's definetly a warden fortress. I think this is much more important for the game then the new character models. Thedas is really falling apart. Wardens fighting Seekers, Qunari finnaly atacking and Flemeth in her dragon form for anyone to see.
More likely Seekers fighting Wardens XD Are the wardens gonna be the antagonists now?
En was that really Flemeth ?

I see. Bethany or Aveline. Not LI, but death would hit right in the feels. I doubt it will be a LI, because people would rage and rage.

It looks as though the Seekers are laying siege to a Warden castle... interesting. Looks like there's going to be plenty to keep the Inquisitor busy with seemingly every major power getting into the mix.

Yes, becuase working at a snail pace is an improvement <_< It's most likely because the nex-gen consoles won't be out until next year; technically speaking.Morroian wrote...

They should give whatever companion or Hawke a honorable death. Not some b.s. battle that we didn't even see.
I don't mind my Hawke dying, but I will be dissapointed if Bioware takes a route where we can't even see OUR characters death.
Although this is speculation and we won't know unless confirmed or until we play the game.
But I am going to look at the trailer again and again until I drive myself mad, making sure that wasn't Aveline or my Hawke.
