In the trailer before it goes to Cassandra stabbing a map it shows some hench dude with a sick looking sword..I can't tell what/who he is supposed to be in terms of race..anyone?

You know that lighting bolt that CRACKS down outside that castle? I REALLY hope we get us some of that for our lightning spells.

Underwhelmed by the trailer. Seriously underwhelmed. Graphics are good, but for all we know the plot could be about another blight going by all the generalizations about a world at war and our role in it that we heard from Morrigan. Cassandra is way too different (those humongous lips, urgh!) from her DA2 version and Varric looks actually younger than he should. I couldn't be sure if it was him, something was off.

The only one that I was very pleased with was Morrigan (and that creature that looked like a horned kossith, but it's difficult to be sure it if really is one). She has aged properly, I like her outfit (reminded me of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, for some reason, which is good!) and even Claudia Black's voice shows that quite a bit of time has passed since we last saw and heard her.

All in all, disappointed. But there's still a lot of ground to cover between now and release.

I see.  Bethany or Aveline.  Not LI, but death would hit right in the feels.  I doubt it will be a LI, because people would rage and rage.

Sigh...the more people talk the more it seems likely to be Aveline, her death would truly be tragic to most of the player base, and that's just how she would die too, defended the innocent no matter what anybody else tells her to do.

I loved Morrigan's look -- even Claudia Black's voice had an older sound to it, richer; way more enigmatic appeal. It really felt to me like you could see Morrigan merging into someone more like Flemeth -- whether she wants to or not. And a Morrigan/Flemeth mesh is frickin' awesome to me!

It was deifnitely a Warden fortress-- with the Griffon symbols and the Warden armor as it appeared in DA2. I'm surprised no one else notices this. They're all so upset with the character models, lol.

oooh!  I did not noticed that!  Did the wardens turned evil? 

The Wardens as a whole are always extreme save for Alistair and The Warden assuming you played as a "good guy" and not "end Blight at all and moral cost guy".

Though from the trailer it's implied you can choose which factions to take out-- so killing the Grey Wardens does seem like a possibility. The same can be said for the Seekers, Mages, Templars, though.

Two AD left... not the best idea. And hard to implement for sequels. Wonder if this has anything to do with that problem they seemed to be having along DA2.

It's not that hard to fathom considering the Grey Wardens are just one factor of the accumalative storyline of Dragon Age... They hardly appeared in DA2, for that matter.

The dragon? I think she had less horns than Flemeth´s dragonform.

And please, tone down qunari horns.

It looks like her dragon form. The color and the horns look like her, that's just my hunch, I may be wrong.

I think that the corpse is Merrill's. He was closer to her than he was to Aveline, and he looks pretty affected by the death of whoever it was. Not that he wouldn't be if it was Aveline, but-- Okay, I'm rambling. And, it looks like the Veil was torn. o:

Who says it wasn't? If they would do something like that than a) they wouldn't show it of in a trailer and  I can't imaging that they would die "unknown" to the player in some fashion suitable for them. Maybe they'd die unknown to e.g. Varric but not the player ... At least if it was someone important from DA:0 or DA2.

Although this is speculation and we won't know unless confirmed or until we play the game.
But I am going to look at the trailer again and again until I drive myself mad, making sure that wasn't Aveline or my Hawke.

It is possible that we would see some sort of epic battle/ death scene though.

I absolutely agree....I looked really close at that frame and it looked more like a feminine body. I have a feeling it was Aveline esp since it looked like a big battle aftermath.

lol why not?  He seemed pretty close with anders.  So why does it have to be a female?

I'd expect a shake of the head with any of the male companions as in "why why did you bring this onto yourself" because they likely ended up there due to their actions/stubborness. The female companions, however, really had no direct stake in the Mage/Templar was, making their deaths all the more tragic for the fact that they had to be dragged into it. 

So either female companion, or a hawke.

I know this sounds so stooopid over a game but if its my Hawke or her LI (Merrill) dies I'm not sure I'd buy DA3...I know its dumb to get so emotionally attached to a video game character but I can't help it. As far as I am concerned they are living up in the mountains happily ever after, PERIOD lol

That's in-game footage, and they look amazing, let's be more honest. They look different due to the fact that they're more realistic looking and Bioware are using a new engine, the Frostbite 3 engine which is first used by the Battlefield games, and we all know that the Frostbite engine is one of the most powerful engines out there.

God, I hate when people nitpick on trivial things. They look more realistic, so of course they'll look different.
