1. It's actually possible for Aveline, unlike Varric, to die in DA2, so Varric's much easier to work into the plot.
Are you sure? I'm positive that of all the companions in DA2, Aveline, Varric and Isabela are the only ones who cannot die. Avs and Izzy can both abandon you, yes, but as far as we know they don't perish.
Anyway. Varric is simply the more popular character of the two. More people like him.
You are correct. It is impossible for the PC to kill Aveline, although she will end up ditching you if you ****** her off enough. Something which I am very happy about as I absolutely loved her character, and am hoping we get to see her again alongside Varric in some capacity.

Hmm...this that fortress that was getting bombarded in the trailer?
Weishauppt, I imagine...
Does that mean we will be going to the Anderfels? Weishauppt is located in Anderfels, right?
An it sort of looks like a Grey Warden's HQ
Yeah, and I think it fits; the Anderfels is a desert, I'm pretty sure, and that screenshot seems desert-ey to me.
That was my thought as well. I recalled that the Anderfels' enviorment was desert-like(I think) because of the blight. That's pretty cool. I always wanted to visit the Grey Warden's HQ. Postponing that visitation when the fortress isn't under attack though

Doubtful. Gaider and the others have been pretty clear that DA isn't limiting itself to a trilogy. It'll probably keep going so long as they have money to make it.abcicek wrote...

Exactly because it isn't like Mass Effect where we only played as Shepard, each game we get a new main character.Daralii wrote...

For what its worth, I'll buy a lot of Dragon Age games, as long as they make it a damn well good game.

Just seeing Varric and Morrigan in the trailer gave me hope on seeing my most beloved characters (Well mostly Anders and Alistair) as they are both my love interest and how can they not be within the game as Anders practically started the war we see in the trailer and if you did pick Alistair to be either King or Grey Warden how can he not get involved? I really cannot wait for what they are really going to push into this game. The characters look amazing and i know the game will be as well!
I take my hat of to you Bioware for producing what could possibly be up there with the most thrilling and most anticipated games of 2014.

At this point it really just makes no sense to doubt me. I've been right about everything in regard to Inquisition. And I'm not bragging, just stating the fact of the matter. Even if you think I'm just a pessimist my pessimism has been correct at every turn.

The Grey Warden armor from the Blur trailers for Origins(that the Warden armor in DA2 is based on) had brown leather instead of blue cloth.

Easy, Nostradamus. I was right there with you expressing similar logic, but anyone saying they will always be right about anything is inviting a nice big serving of humble pie.

Except that "Dragon Age" would end at 9:99. Right now we are around 9:40. The game would cease to be "Dragon Age" if the age the game takes place is over. An age last only 100 years. So, taking that into account, the game will end by the end of the "Dragon Age". It's pretty interesting to note that if Inquisition is successfull and the franchise continues then almost all the characters we know would be old or dead by the time the series end.

I'm not saying I'll never be wrong. I'm saying that doubting the person who's been right about everything up to this point is not smart. I've seen through BioWare's BS every time, predicted the delay, predicted it being cross-gen, predicted the reveal being just a short trailer, predicted the surveys being entirely spot-on, and on and on. I made all of these predictions and held all of these opinions because of logic.

If the series goes on long enough, I expect we'll get to the next age, but we've got around sixty years before then. I don't expect it to happen any time soon.

I thought it looked fine. It was mainly just there to show that DA:I existed and that it was coming out in fall of 2014. You can find consoles that it'll be released on looking further online. I'm more interested in the gameplay trailers that'll proabably come next year.Angrywolves wrote...
I admit I am starting to feel some dis appointment in the BSN fans. Seems many are so desperate for DAI to be a success, wanting a good game they're willing to simply overlook problems with the video and Morrigan's appearance. Caught me by surprise. Oh well to each his own. With the extention EA gave them they still have over a year to fix things. Shows EA really wants to save the franchise and that is good.
