Dragon Age: Inquisition is coming Fall 2014 to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC :)

Guess, this is the main reason for a year delay, is not it? :)

The Qunari guy in the trailer, what weapon was he holding, was it a Mage staff? I couldn't see it properly

A sword similar to the one the Arishok used in DA2.

No more Arishok please lol It was pain to beat him. I had to use tons of grenades to kill him.

Wow, we got to see Varric, whee. Cassandra looks great and my husband likes Morrigan's new look. Thanks for the screenshots, nice to know what everyone are talking about.

Except that's not true at all. And I've already been proven right about the trailer not being actual game footage. Gaider confirmed in the trailer thread that it's in-engine footage and not in-game.

I think you're over analyzing Gaider's comments. The distinction between in-engine and in-game (although David used both terms) is not as wide as you may think.

You are right, but I think everyone would have been happy to see the interface, some combat, some dialogue etc. I think that is the difference between an in-engine trailer and an in-game trailer.

Keep up the good work tough. At least this trailer showed me that you are going down the right path.
- Right choice of returning characters/companions.
- Great improvement on graphics (even if I still don't like the buildings).
- As story goes it seems epic. Good thing.
- It seems that the player will be able to play a real evil character and to make meaningful choices.

So, these lovely fellows don't look like any of the demons we are used to. Are they the promised new types or this is not as simple as a rift in the Veil allowing demons through?

Maybe those creatures are coming from the Black City itself.

Or maybe they are our new companions.

The trailer actually made DA3 to feel like an RPG rather than an action game, unlike DA2's trailers. So great work i am really pumped for DA3 now :wizard:

I'm surprised a Templar like you would touch these magical creatures. :o

My favorite character and main romance is Morrigan.
It's...complicated.

Uh... I didnt like the trailer, sadly. Its average if I would rate it.
City bombardement shows how unfinished and bland the surroundings are (imo), with stiff little men running around. So few defenders that they wouldnt even matter with that insignificant number.

CGI (cinematic insertions) seems less "developed" in comparison to DAO and DA2 which I love btw (Cinematic trailers I mean). Or is it? Maybe I'm wrong and there is no cinematic CGI in this trailer and all is engine-rendered? I would love to hear the answer.
For a moment ther I was like: great, another darkspawn/demon invasion... I bet we will go into fade again... and that is not a good thing unless proven otherwise ;D

What I liked was Morrigan in her "morning" glory. Varric, besides facial redesign, looks plastic, maybe its the lighting, I dont know.

Cassandra comparison, since I didn't see one posted.

I see square jaws are still a problem.

And oversized lips. Cas and Morrigan have huge lips.
Also, the eyebrows are redicolously arched.

Can't say I lik this redesign.

I tried to make a quick photoshop manip (Bigger version here) of a Cassandra that looked more like her DA2 counterpart while still being very recognizable from the one in the DA:I trailer.

Image IPB

Number one is of course DA2. Number two is the original Inquisition trailer look. Number three lastly is the somewhat morphed face I did in photoshop.

To break down the changes:

1. Made the eyebrows more natural and less arched. Moved them down a bit to better fit the face. Alsocloser to her DA2 look.
2. Moved the eyes ever so slightly toward the center of the face, also changed the angle ever so slightly.
3. Moved the nose down a bit and made it look less concave. Again to better suit the face and how she looked in DA2.
4. Made her mouth/lips a bit smaller.
5. Chisled her jaw a bit. Kept her chin as it were in the trailer but gave her a more slender/feminine jawline without making her look too girly.

I think the end result is a good compromise of DA2 Cassandra and the new one we got in the Inquisition trailer. I'm fairly certain the artists at Bioware will change Cassandra's look over this coming year, but I just wanted to make something that looked more like how I remember Cassandra.

I thought it was an arcane horrow now with tentacles, a profane with undergarments, and an ash wraith with legs. ;)

Joke aside, we've seen two of those three demons in a picture before (third on "demons", first behind the man's head). I think we may have seen the third one here (rightest side).

Can someone make a mod for DA2 to make Cassandra and Varric look like in the trailer? :-)

Oh and here is something interesting.
The second creature is in the row behind the man and further to the left, you can see an humanoid figure with a red arrow pointing towards the "Tevinter" row.
Meaning, chances are either Tevinter is to blame for the Rift or those creatures are possessed tevinter mages.

I can't believe people are complaining about the 2014 release after the rush job in DA:2.

I think Bioware should hire sandellniklas as an artist :wizard:

*Bows modestly* ^_^

Thank you, but my skills are very much limited to simple two dimensional photoshop manipulations. I would feel very lost among the great artists that work at Bioware.
