ETA: Varric looks much more different in comparison to his former model (not that that's necceasrily a bad thing) but you don't see so many people agonizing over his appearance "change" as much as Morrigan, do you? Why? Because he's not a woman. Honestly.
Oh god, will this nonsense come up everywhere now?
Well then, what's your theory as to why there are exponentially more people focusing in on a perceived change in Morrigan's looks than a change in Varric's looks?
Hmm, let me think. Maybe because her role in DAO was so important and the sole purpose of the Witch Hunt DLC was for her to spout more mysterious clues and leave you wonder what is going on with her and Flemeth? Because she voiced the trailer and was the last one we saw, thus leaving the strongest impression? Because her return was very much anticipated and people have a lot of expectations of it? Because she was a very popular companion in DAO, one most players have an opinion on, and a possible romantic interest for the Warden as well? Her role in the DA universe is much bigger and interesting than Varric's entertaining little part.
Maybe you missed it, but the makeover of Alistair and especially Zevran was criticized a lot here, and still is.
Whatever the exact reasons, I'm getting tired of the sexist/feminist thing coming up constantly. If I would follow the opinions stated on these boards I don't like Tallis because I'm jealous of her and her stealing my female Hawke's time to shine, I don't like Morrigan's weird hair, jaw, mouth and changed nose because... eh... I'm jealous again? Secretly hate women despite being one myself (Freudian theory??)? And I am unable to enjoy The Witcher games because I lack testicles.
