Not sure if anyone's already posted this elsewhere, but there's a new(ish) article based on another interview with Aaryn Flynn:
http://ca.ign.com/ar...next-generation

Interesting, hadn't seen that article. Seems to hint at a branching storyline(ala TW2) where you choose a faction.

Maybe the desert area is where the story begins?

Where could it be located?:?

The Anderfels?

It's not the Anderfels, it's Orlais. How many times do I have to tell people numerous times. <_<

It doesn't matter where the Inquisitor is at since the teaser doesn't show what will be in the game 100%. I have a feeling it was done for two purposes: to show off what the engine can do and to obscure the Inquisitor.

And if that is Orlais then damn, they have a serious drought and famine problem. All joking aside, the Anderfels are the only place that we know thus far that is mostly desert (or the Vinmark Wasteland).

Well if Alistair is king (don't know if he mentions it if hes a Warden and hes to drunk if he gets exiled to use his brain cells ) he mentions a possible war in Orlais. He doesn't say what about but that gives another clue.
And then, theres always the map Cassandra slams her blade in, that says The Empire Of Orlais.

Otherwise, the Inquisitor would have no buisness in the Anderfels. If we were back playing the Warden it would be understandable on the account of Awakening taking place there.

The only desert region I see mentioned is in the Anderfels, close to Weisshaupt fortress, and is known for it's barren landscape, sand storms and such. That might not be where our hero starts out but it wouldn't surprise me if we have to travel there at some point in game.

The Western Approach is also a desert and it is in Orlais. It also have the Adamant Fortress, an (ex-)Warden outpost that is featured in the novel Asunder.

>< I have yet to get that book. I need to. I guess I'm just hoping we get to pop in at Weisshaupt and say hello. :D

You almost ninja'd me xD I was about to post the same thing.
But yes, and it is mentioned by Duncan that a lot of Grey Warden posts have been abandoned because they weren't needed.
If I'm correct about the Seekers declaring war on the Wardens, the Wardens are going to spread out to there Ex Warden out-posts. Makes sense, no?

So once AGAIN, the game isn't going to take place in the Anderfels.

That article also states that the sands are purple. I'm assuming because of corruption? Unless it doesn't mean in general but in spots?

Don't ask me where it comes from or if it is logical, but the moment I saw the trailer and heard of the late release date I began to worry.

What are the hardware requirements for PC's going to be.
I mean, I got a good gaming pc, but I probably won't be able to buy another one before DAI arrives, given that DAI will be next gen for consoles and the great looking graphics we've seen, will I be able to play the game with a decent graphic setting?
Is that perhaps one of the reason the game development will take longer.
(just wildly guessing here^^)..

I'd recommend looking at a game that has the frostbite3 graphic system, and look at their system requirements.
I'd say it's probably going to be around Skyrims system requirements, because they run on that graphic system also I believe.

If it's like Earth, it would look like this (that's wet sand, dry one would be lighter in color). The article also mention aurora (they usually don't throw rocks though) and a thin  Veil.

Jeez, I just realized that there are a bunch of surface dwarves that are probably going crazy, the sky just opened up and started to throw rocks. Ahahahahahah.

It's premature to say the seekers are declaring war on the wardens. As we couldn't tell everything about the previous games by their trailers we shouldn't think we can do it with DAI. It's laughable.

Oh yes sir it's quite laughable. There most certainly is no reason for Cassandra to be OUTSIDE the Wardens' fortress and have her templars/inquistors storming the place.
Right, most certainly laughable.:D

And you of course are absolutely sure it is what you want it to be. That's laughable. Dream on then.

I agree~

While the trailer is cut to make it look so, I think it's actually demons/spirits attacking the wardens in that scene. The veil has already opened (hence the fireballs or whatever). Can't wait to find out one way or the other though. Such a long wait~ :crying:

It kind of seems like Aaryn Flynn has given away the plot for Inquisition in the IGN Interview that he did. Or is that mostly the journalist taking what he says and putting it the way he wants it to sound?

The sequence of events and the choices you make, at least.

IGN journalist making stuff up because he think the game is all about a Mages vs Chantry war (and not even the Mages vs Templars one, ahahaha).

I think people should stick to what is said on the official website.

You know, I was going to be upset that the above link described the Chantry as "oppressive religious zealots fighting for the god Andraste" but given the fact they think Andraste is a god, they clearly can't even grasp the basic concepts of the lore and thus, have no diea what they are talking about.

Thank you Alstairschica. A voice of reason. I am sure Bioware is getting a kick out of confusing the fans and causing a whole bunch of speculation that will turn out to have been flat out wrong/incorrect.

I'm wondering when it was decided to give more time to the game.

Like, if someone said, "Oh, this game has to be out by late 2013" and then the devs working on it were like

And then we got the stretch to 2014, which makes me all happy in the face

She is the Maker's wife. But I don't she is a god however...not sure.
They wrote "Will you side with the mages (heretical victims) or the Chantry (oppresive religious zealots fighting for the god Andraste)?"
They think Andraste is a dude/God. Or they worded it wrong.

Ah okay that makes sense now.
I thought my whole dragon age life was a lie after I read that.
