Hmm, no wonder Morrigan's dress looked familiar.
Great. All I'm seeing now is that faboulous hat on Morrigan's head.
She looks a little fearcer blurred. I like it.

So can we infer from this that Morrigan did manage to access the Orlais imperial court... That would be interesting.

Some impressions.
Keywords emphasised by Claudia: "faith... ashes" Andraste? Let's not forget the Feraldan barbarian Andraste was burned alive by the mages of Trevinter for daring to pioneer a new religion whereby magic was considered suspect and it was deemed appropriate that it should be contained...
Asunder... The reference her is obvious, the title of Gaider's novel chronicalling the scism between the mages and the Chantry but also the Fade and the here and now in Thedas.
Identity of the corpse... Not just any corpse, Varric reaches out to touch it... Obviously someone beloved of him. The corpse is in a sackcloth shroud and surronded by others equally wrapped, so a mass (but organised) burial of some kind, the shrouds all have little notes attached, the inference being that is how Varric recognises that one in particular... My thoughts either an epidemic (early stages) or a massacre or an execution. My first thought was the corpse could be Hawke... but it appears to have breasts. Some speculation above that it's Aveline or Isabella... But what about Merrill? It could be Merrill, we all know protective Varric was of her... Merrill is both an elf and a mage so twice as vulnerable?
Finally Morrie in Orlesian court dress... Perhaps she managed to cosy up to Celine after all... What's that leaf shaped brooch on the left of her bodice?

But why did they give us the hint that it would come out late 2013- early 2014 ?
That was the original plan. We have altered the plan. (Pray we don't alter it further? >.>)
Alter it further if that's what you need to make a great game. While I liked DA2, it had huge flaws, and I know I'm not the only one who thinks the dev time had a lot to do with that.

The one thing that gives me a little hope was how Flynn went out of his way to talk about how the game's going to be focused on single player. Maybe they listened and there won't be any multiplayer at all.

That was it for E3? lol.. a short trailer with zero gameplay and a couple fluff interviews? I was absorbed in other E3 games but I was expecting to find a wealth of new info for DAI.. I've been scouring this thread but I guess there was nothing new?
I know its a ways off, but so is Witcher 3, and that had an enormous E3 presence and is making headlines everywhere, meanwhile I see almost nothing for DAI.
Oh well.
As for Witcher 3, That's a small company on their own . So they have to push for the presece. Give bioware some time, the DA team will do something with EA, showing some game play down the line

You know what you wrote reminded me of? This.
Let's hope it will never come to that.

The dress explains alot. Didn't some of the epilogue slides say that she ends up at the orlesian court at some point? Or was that only if you didn't have the OGB with her?
I vaguely remember something like that now.

What was the big fortress being attacked in the trailer? Is that the Grey Wardens HQ in the Anderfels?
The trailer strongly hints that the game will be taking place in Orlais, not the Anderfels.
And there is a Grey Warden Outpost in Orlais.

They've said they want the game to take place in a large portion of Thedas, not just Orlais. So we could be going many places.

Granted, that's true, but remember that the Anderfels is months away from Orlais, without stopping along the way to resolve this or that problem. We don't really know what we'll be doing as the Inquisitor, if Cassandra really is a companion, therefore it making sense for us to be in the general vicinity where she is or where we'd be traipsing during the game, but I doubt the Anderfels is a viable place to visit in DA:I; maybe the next one?
If I'm wrong, I will apologize and enjoy the Anderfels but, until I'm presented with incontestable proof we'll be going there, I'll but my money on the fortress being either in Jader or Montsimmard or actually the abandoned fortress from Asunder, where the mages take refuge.

Morrigan. Leli. Alistair. Evangeline.
That doesn't raise my hopes that the conflict will be grey. It seems to me like BioEAware has already picked a side.

Can any of the Devs tell us who is writing Varric's part this time around? Is it still Mary Kirby?
One of her twitter quotes a few days back seemed to indicate as much. I can't remember the exact text but she talked about Varric in the trailer and then something about it being a selfish satisfaction or something like that.
