I haven't thought that far ahead, but it would be senseless and pointless to make that a option in DA;O To have a god child. I have a feeling the child will have a big part either in DA:I or future DA games. Because that ending and witch DLc would seem a bit pointless/ But we have no idea what is in store for us for DA:I we will just have to wait for future updates.Rawgrim wrote...

Well If you look at Hawke he was male, but could be made into female, they could do the same for the God child. I hope we get more information later on : D, I am curious who the main character is and how he is connected to whats going on.JasonPogo wrote...

Is anyone else curious about who Varrus was grieving about? and is it possible the main character you are playing is (Maybe) The Warden and Morrigan's son or daughter?
Their kid has already been said to be male. So it would be kinda hard to have it be the God Child. Not that Bioware won't change their own story...
What if you didn`t do the dark ritual?
Morrigan confirmed in DA: I !!

Not the same thing at all. Hawke did not exist prior to the player creating him/her. The God Kid existing or not was a choice the player made with their warden. Its gender is not half as important as the fact it might not exist at all.
And I'm pretty sure I remember David Gaider saying at some point on the forums that they'd be honoring the choice the player made where that was concerned. I'm too lazy to track that down though.
Personally I'd rather have the hero be important based on what they do in the game, rather than them being born with GodStuff. Which has been done to death. Why steal a plot from one of their own games? (Baldur's Gate)

Same here. Except that I'm not just unsure, but really disappointed with her new appearance. Varric's as well. No final verdict until I've seen them in the game, but so far it appears that the art department should rework a few things.wright1978 wrote...

They really don't look all that different to me, a little bit sure- but not drastically.

So, soooooooooooo glad to see it won't be until at least the Fall of 2014. It's the rare game that turns out fantastic with *cough*18 month*cough* dev cycles.
I certainly hope we'll be playing a third character, and not a protagonist from either of the two previous games. I also hope Morrigan being the narrator is more than just a tease (like Flemeth was for DA 2, showing up for a whole 5 minutes combined playing time). Bioware, you can't go wrong with more Flemeth or Morrigan.

People should also remember that the characters in the trailer rarely look like the in game characters.,

Come on now, Morrigan looks pretty and a bit older, as it should be.
I think they actually used Claudia Black as a face model this time. It certainly looks like Claudia.

I thought that was actual game footage?
Also, I read that BioWare has their own slot at 8pm EST, can anyone confirm this/provide links?

Open world sounds exciting, though Bioware has never made an open world video game before, so here's hoping there won't be too many hiccups in their first try.

I think Laidlaw said in another thread already that it isn't Skyrim style open world but just big ass places to explore that feels open world.
I'm assuming like the planet crawling you could do in the first ME game. That illusion of open worldness without a map that is 95% nothing.

The climactic scene in his romance arc involves him finally revealing his chest hair to the PC. Then he makes love to Bianca while the Inquisitor cries in the corner.

Also I think all the characters look great, more realistic especially if this is in fact in-game scenes. I like how Morrigan & Varric look, you can see great detail & expression.
Also the Fade tearing open in the sky...I am looking forward to seeing what is to come. We also have Pax Prime to look forward to where Bioware should show us actual game play.

Quite underwhelming indeed. Then again it's a CG cutscene, never truly represents the actual product. Reminds me of DA:O cutscene it didn't match the gameplay at all.
That's in-game footage, you skeptical nitpicking turtle! Never underestimate the power of the Frostbite!

I wasn't thrilled with that one either! I wanted her with long hair & she looks less femanin then before!
I'm also very curious on who Varric was griveing over? That is my big question for the trailer!
