This is why I have to wonder if something has seriously slipped in production especially if this is all they can show us when the game was supposedly within a year of being produced not so long ago.
Perhaps they realized that to produce a good game you have to give it time, you can't just force one out and hope for the best.
I can only hope this is true, but just because a game has been delayed doesn't automatically make it better. I am still skeptical.

Now, you wait for more info. The good thing is you won't have to wait in the dark as long as you did since we first confirmed Dragon Age: Inquisition. I can't yet say when you will hear more, but there will be more DAI news this year, if not sooner.
Sooner than this year?

I have to wonder if you all aren't sitting in a corner of the office with a bowl of popcorn and a TV screen that's hooked up to the net and just watching the threads come in one by one, and laughing at our interpretations of the limited info we now have. I'd probably do the same. It's going to be crazy here for a few months before the next reveal, and then it'll get even worse.Chris Priestly wrote...

Can I hazard that the next big reveal will be at some major games convention elsewhere in the world?

I'm actually glad they're taking their time. It means a higher chance of a great game when it is released (or so I'm hoping)
Just because a developer takes more time to create a game, doesn't automatically mean it's going to be an awesome game. Experienced gamers should know this.
Indeed Master of Orion 3 and the last Duke Nukem come immediately to mind. I am not complaining per se that Bioware is taking their time, but given that they've added a full year to what was at one time the release date of DA:I, I have to wonder if something seriously slipped somewhere during production. Not only that but this emphasis on calling it an "action RPG" is making me seriously queasy and it's giving me a seriously bad vibe along with some of the scenes in the trailer. It may be nothing, but still......

Duke Nukem should NOT even be compared. It spent years as vaporware before somebody decided to finish it.
DukeNukem failed because its a 90s game trying to exist in the new century while still being trapped in the 90s

Witcher 3.
THIS
If anyone thinks the Witcher 3 is coming out before 2014, they're on crack.
Anyways, I'll be doing what I always do. Living my life. Playing the occaisional game that catches my interest. Etc. Only popped back on the Bioware forums because of the new DA:I info. No plans to actually sit here and re-hash theories that have been re-hashed about a billion times now just to fill the void of no DA game to play.
Nah, but its coming out in spring 2014, which is a good 6+ months before DA3. So.. something to do.
Those two games are gonna make 2014 a good year for RPGs. And if, gods allow, a new Deus Ex gets annoucned this week for 2014 as well, holy ****.

My husband's birthday is in early March, and the last couple games had to be shelved until after the festivities. I know it's selfish, but after waiting months and months for new Bioware games to come out, not being able to play them when they released was excruciating.
Buuuuuut, that's just me.

A years a long time to wait, especially with no DA2 expansion/dlc etc. (sad Sandal face) and as crushed as I am to wait for it (though hopefully by DAI release date, the next gen consoles have had a wee reduction in price) there's a fair number of other things to anticipate: ShadowRun Returns, Wasteland 2, Witcher 3, Torment, Project Eternity and a buncha others. Looking forward to the ramp up of new Info about DAI though. Speculation is always fun.
