Only those who think skill has anything to do with soloing, and that skill exist in this game at all.
There is no skill in killing "predictable" A.I.
Period.
Hi Ronnie,
Unfortunately this means that you do not know the definition of "skill" then. Skill means
"A skill[/b] is the learned ability to carry out pre-determined results often with the minimum outlay of time, energy, or both. In other words the abilities that one possesses."
Key phrase "learned ability". To be able to solo or even play this game to your full potential in a team game, duo, trio or again a solo does require some skill. You gain these skills by knowledge, playing the game, trying new things out and challenging yourself. I am positive that you are not the same player you are now than on the days you played bronze.
I am not defending solo'ing as I personally prefer team games for sure but there is a level of skill needed. Skill is learned and earned...not something someone is born with. Those are talents and even those need to be sharpened and tuned into by acquiring skills. In other words...there is skill in every aspect of this game.
whats crack vader, come back to the box man!
I know the def. of skill, what your confusing with skill is actually an "adaptation" to the A.I. in ME3MP. Also, that def. can be applied to the game in various ways, depending on the player/veiwer. I
f you really want the minimum outlay of time, energy, or both, soloing is "THE WORST" way to go about it since this game is ment for 1~4 people in the squad and by soloing, you choosing the least effective way of carrying out the same task. Also this game isn't "difficult" to pick up, ANYONE can become a beast player in this game, does that mean everyones got skillz? Naa, it just means the game isn't that complicated enough.
Can you say that if the way a phantom came at you changed between 5 different offensive attacks you'd get a "skillfull" result? I know that everytime I see something new (and its quite frequent even after a year), its usually so surprising and unordinary that it kills me and/or cost me the game. (Like the 1st time I noticed a banshee teleport through a wall, or getting grabbed over cover by an atlus, or
watching a pyro do a barrel roll, doens't happen very often, but it only needs to happen once to know, its possible, hence, i adapted to the A.I.) Skill would be being able to get out of the situation while it was taking place, which unfortunetly Bioware made in more ways than I think they even know, you can't.
The game has way to much retard slow mechanics,
way to many "may as well have dropped my controller" moments, and is completely "skill limiting" since there arent enough instinces where a player can change the outcome of an event. This game is literally a tic tac toe match, meaning you have to do this to get this result, which is also why Infiltrators and very powerfull weapons like Harrier, Claymore are popular, because they are the "most effective" way of going about a game that removes the need to have fast enough reaction to even be labeled skillfull. By not using these (not in particular though) classes/weapons you will always get a less "skilled" looking game.
Basically what I'm saying, skill would relate to this game more along the lines of, how you react to an event. In say a fighting game like Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, a player has skills because the game is simply action/reactions vs another player, no matter the team you use, as long as you are good, you can beat any other team. This game is way to much reaction/result vs an A.I. If you bring a predator to a platinum match on a volus, with no missles and a horrible team, your game will always be terrible. Being better than someone else at that, or being able to do it on your own, is NOT skillfull.
