So what do you people think of the new trailer?

Trailer here ->

If you see some interesting feature or hidden message in the trailer, post it here!

What we've noticed so far:
* Hurloc corpses on the ground, looks like the models from DAO instead of the hurlocs we saw in DA2
* Varric is clean-shaved now
* The qunari is standing in front of a couple of qunarish jolly roger flags, seems to imply that he's a tal-vasoth (Iron bull confirmed?)
* Cassandra has a very wide jaw
* Morrigan is now sporting an orlesian marshmellow-y dress (look at the bottom of the screen when she walks towards the camera)
* Red lyrium demon, perhaps a profane, was seen in the trailer after the "fade rift". Are we getting more answers about this strange red substance? It was left pretty vague in DA2 even it played a big part in the storyline.
* New dragon model. Is it simply the new model for high dragons, or could it be Flemeth (the horns looks about right), or a fade dragon, or a new archdemon?
* Big rift opening up to the fade (presumably) in the sky. Perhaps the mage rebels followed suit after the kirkwall circle and are now 99.9% made up of blood mages?
* The war room shows us a map with different armies placed upon it. One of note is the one made out of blue bricks in the northwestern part of the map (from our view). Compared with the map over all of Thedas it looks like that army is stationed somewhere around the Gamordan Peaks: http://images.wikia....ofthedasmap.jpg
* Does the seekers declare war on the grey wardens? The trailer is certainly cut in a way as to suggest that.
* Why is Cassandra so interested in Orlais that she stabs it on the map with her beloved knife?
* Who is Varric mourning?
* Where IS Varric? Kirkwall?
* What is the symbol on the flag next to Varric? Looks like a flower or a lion (Orlais?).
* The castle under siege looks very much like a grey warden fortress. Could it perhaps be the warden HQ aka Weisshaupt?
* Is Cassandra wearing a crown or simply a headband in the war room scene?
* That same scene also shows a copy of Hard in Hightown II on the far left of the table. Does this confirm Cullen LI?(<- This is a joke)
* Seekers now wear some pretty intimidating helmets. Seriously, how can they see anything through those things?
* All the army bricks on the war room map have some kind of statue behind them. The armies to the right have the chantry sun, implying most likely the seeker forces, while the middle one looks like an angel, and the blue armies previously mentioned appear to have a bell pierced by the circle of magi symbol. The picture isn't very clear though so these are mostly assumptions.
* People have pointed out that Morrigan resembles Flemeth quite abit now, which could very well be the reason Bioware decided to alter her apearance.
* It also looks like someone/ something is standing behind Morrigan. It's pretty blurry, so it might be nothing, but perhaps it is the Old god baby?

Speculate!

EDIT: Since alot of people seem to believe that the triler is CGI: It is actual IN-GAME footage. It even says so in the beginning of the trailer.;)

Allan Schumacher describes how the trailer was made here -> http://social.biowar...776/10#16843737

Although nothing's been confirmed or denied yet, Schumacher also commented on the "open world" aspect of the game, and generally seems to indicate that the game will not be completely open world. Instead it sounds more like the diferent areas will be larger, and that the player will travel from area to area similar to how it was done in DA:O. When thinking about the size of the new areas, we were told quite some time ago that a single zone in DA:I will be as large as all the different zones in DA2 combined! I'm a little underwhemed to be honest.  If Bioware was seriously talking about a 2013 release not so long ago, and all we have is this.....I have to think something may have gone very badly wrong in production.  I am also not so sure I like some of the implications in the trailer, but it's too early to say anything definitative other than I'm getting a 'bad vibe'.

On the plus side (and it really is a plus side), at least Bioware seems to be taking the "it's done when it's done approach" although my final verdict will be coloured by the final product.

Doesn't really tell us a lot, does it? I like Morrigan & Varric's reappearance though!

I'm guessing the guy at 0:42 is a Qunari? Glad they're also involved. Maybe this time we'll get to see more than just their warrior caste (or whatever it's called).

You are so wise Polaris.
I'm just happy to Varric, I won't lie. Thanks Bioware.

I think it looked decent. Morrigan, Cassandra and Varric was recognizeable and the scene is set.

I'm glad it's fall 2014, more time to make a good game better I hope.

I just really hope the reason that Varric looked so sad wasn't that we knew the person in this bag.

I'm very much getting a finalistic chapter vibe to it. Hope they handle it better than ME3 if that is the case.

I liked it, it was a good trailer. Not perfect, but it gave me what I wanted. Plus for not being cgi, but in-game. The grahics and the art-style looked great, the story looked interesting and ominous. I liked how Morrigan looked, but I don't understand why they had to change Varric and (I'm assuming since she looked pretty different) Cassandra. I really hope both of these characters look more like their DA2 counterparts. Never understood why it would be so hard to keep face-shapes etc. exactly like how they were in the previous game in a series.

I wasn't impressed with the dragon that came out of the rift/tear, but that might change in a year. Loved the seekers and the wardens, and the siege looked great. Hearing Claudia Black was great also, and I hope Morrigan has a big role in the game.

Did I feel like crying a bit when they said Fall 2014? Sure. But it is better that they polish the game and don't rush it. Now they have like 1,5 years left, which is ALOT considering how long they have already worked on it.

Not bad. Was happy to see Varric, Cassandra and Morrigan again, although both Cassandra and Morrigan looked weird. I hope their ingame models look different.

Everything else was good, though. Another big war, demons appearing, Morrigan's return... it raises a lot of questions, as a trailer should. Too bad the answers won't come soon, but at least the game won't be rushed.

At first I was underwhelmed. I didn't recognize Varric at first, didn't recognize the voice immediately, though the trailer was a bit jumbled, and I mistook the graphics for CGI, which made me disappointed due to the lesser quality when compared to the Sacred Ashes for DA:O and Destiny for DA2.

Then I read some comments and watched it again. And my mind is blown with excitement. I thought it was great. I loved to See Morrigan, Varric and what I assume is Cassandra. And since they showed the Arishok (or what I presumed to be him), I can only hope that Sten will reappear (since my Hawke slew the Arishok in single-combat and Sten returned to the Qunari after DA:O).

I'm also fascinated by this rupturing of worlds we saw, when the Fade apparently materialized in Thedas. Makes me wonder if it will be a mayor threat that is set to the backdrop of other conflicts (the Mage-Templar War, Orlesian Civil War, Elven uprising in Orlais etc), similarily to DA:O.

I wanted to see the protagonists face though, not just his characteristic red cloak.

And the in-game graphics look great, also I don't really mind the redesign of the characters. I can still see who they are, and they still look like themselves.

If theres Morrigan but not the Warden then those who romanced her will sheet brix.

The trailer looked good but considering what I've seen, this whole epic war concept, I don't really see how can BioWare do this NOT involving PCs from previous parts. Particulary The Warden.

I mean, I kind of dont believe in such heroes capable of doing great things emerging every year from scratch. The idea seems a little dull for me, let alone these two behind a mirror and let's do a casting for a new Hero of ?, who will save the world. Morrigan, Varric and Cassandra will star as jury. So who's Got Talent? :))

Not much to say about it, really. We still know absolutely nothing aside from shinier graphics and a release date. No gameplay mechanics or systems shown, and any story elements discussed here are just speculation. Hope to see and/or hear more soon.

That little trailer we see is more than we had a few hours ago, so im grateful. The inmersive environments and the characters design, it looks awesome. I cant wait to see the new dialogue wheel, the combat system, etc.

Honestly i don't care if they take more time to release the game. Thats is warranty of a better game.

Simplemente genial xD

Pictures of returning characters found here: Varric, Cassandra, Morrigan. Taken from Gaider's Tumblr account.

I'm glad that we've got Varric back, he looks great and the whole darker tone which the trailer inflicts pleases me. However, I'm quite upset at what appears on the surface to be "gather armies, save the world" storyline which we've seen done plenty of times by now.

Perhaps there's going to be more to it and it'll be done well but I'm just saddened by the larger scope of the storyline, it makes the mage / templar conflict and Orlesian civil war seem irrelevant. Least Loghain had the excuse of legitimately believing he was the only one who could save Fereldan.

The whole "fade ripping through" gives me a huge Warcraft 3 feel with the Burning Legion. Leads me to question what happens to the Fade now? Do people still go there? Do demons still want to possess mages? Do they just want to rip people apart? Are they involved? If so, goddammit Anders.

Minor things:
  • Liked the fact that they added a war room scene, something which I greatly anticipated seeing someday.
  • The weather and lighting effects looked great.
  • Some of the demon designs are questionable but I'll wait to see and know more.
  • My theory on the Fade seems correct!

Just noticed, but are the corpses on the ground in the beginning of the trailer hurlocks? If so, it looks like they went back to the original apearance from DAO! Yay!

Faces will take some getting used too, but mmm I am liking that bokeh blur on those flames there.

Also, is that a cape I spy?

CGI was horrible, Bioware really is failing. Trailer did nothing to make me interested in the game, that's too bad, I miss old Bioware.

I honestly like that they don't look like they were designed to be male/female sex appeal anymore
