Was the Rock like creature that we saw in the trailer actually Shale or was that something else that ING got wrong in their break down of the trailer?
You mean the one after the portal opened? Probably a redesign of a Pride Demon.

Ok right so they got that wrong as well then. The two guys doing it didn't seem to know a whole lot about the DA series.

Wasn't it a profane or a rock wraith? That's what it looked like to me.

Am I the only one that noticed that the Seekers just declared war on the Grey Wardens in this trailer?
I really hope they give us some more info on that. For me, it just doesn't make sense. The Wardens exist for only 1 purpose: Darkspawn. And they pretty much ignore everything else. Why would the Seekers want to wage war with them? I hope they have some good explaination for this.
(muttering darkly) I can guess. The Grey Wardens have for over a thousand years accepted mages into their ranks, and not only allowed but in some cases encouraged forbidden magics (like bloodmagic) and Grey Warden Mages tend to take a much more relaxed view towards bloodmagic than the Chantry would have normally tolerated. Worse Grey Warden Mages up to this point have been completely beyond Chantry (and thus Seeker/Templar) control
It wouldn't suprise me in the slightest, if Lambert decided to end the Grey Warden Mage independance once and for all. He seems the type.

Well still, the wardens aren't made of all Mages. There are warriors too. And if you destroy them, when another Blight come (well not everybody knows about Morrigan's ritual I believe, and I don't think Old god son is common knowledge in Thedas) they will all be doomed. Lambert can be crazy, but I don;t think he's powerful enough to pull the Seekers into this war. Also, I kinda thought Cole kill Lambert at the end of Asunder. But I guess we will have to wait for the next book at least.

"blurring the line" was the interviewers phrase. Mr Flynn actually seemed quite keen to distance himself from it really, though he seems to have an unfortunate aversion to actually disagreeing with anything the interviewer said. But he placed it quite firmly in the "something we might do in the future" box, while saying that the empasis was on the single player story.
edit: And "actiony combat" was just part of the spiel about finding a middle ground between DA:O and DA2. Though I don't know where he got the idea that DA2 has better animations.

What I really hope is that they actually "focus on single player story" like Aaryn said in his interview. To be completely honest, Story and Characters are the reasons why I love BioWare games in the first place. Hell, I'd rather play BG or KOTOR for the ten thousand time despite their aged graphic than playing DA 2.
Btw, after watching the trailer for god knows how many times, I kinda doubt it was the Seekers that breaking in Warden's castle. We didn't see any Seekers actually run through the gate, and the scene with Cass leading the fight looks different than the break in scene. So I think it's more of a tricky cut than an actual fight scene. Gotta wait for more info still though

I think that is possible. Pay close attention to this picture.thats1evildude wrote...
The second monster looks like a human male that's been mutated in some way by red lyrium. Those look like red lyrium shards growing out of his body.
